This is a new one on me I have never had an Emergency at 100 % not yield reward medals. I will wait for an answer from the moderators on this one. They should be along soon. You may want to go back in and edit your post with your id they may need to look at your account. Your account number is located next to your name on the non-full screen view of the game.

  3. the more training your rookies and specialists get the higher their success rate is, also you need the right specialist available to send on the emergencies
Is there anything else that we can help you with on this topic

The only 100% failures I have encountered have been due to the timer running out. It counts down to 0.01 (I guess) then displays a huge number, but by then it is too late to succeed.

Hi Tassie, so even though it 100% I can still fail, I answer the call within a minute, thanks

  6. Hi laurenlol,
If you post your ID, I can take a look at your account. All else that I can contribute is that on my player account I have never seen a 100% emergency fail. As nervo hinted at, it is possible for the timer in your game to get out of sync with the timer on the server, so although your game says you responded quickly, you might not have done - this tends to be more likely to happen if you have a slow internet.

Just a point out of curiosity; timing out will indeed cause a failure on a 100%mission but there is another way to fail. The percentage is the maximum chance of success at a given mission, meaning you have the coverage available to meet that percentage. However, the specialists you choose can affect how much of that percentage actually gets met. Example: I have an emergency that requires a medic and a officer, and I have two of each...one pair has enough skill points to meet the 100% fully, but any combination except those exact two will fill only, say 90% of the 100%. I still have the ability to meet 100%, but did not use that combination, and then I happen to (randomly) fail the 90% chance I did meet. Or, if I am training a rookie to specialize and use that instead of a medic or officer...this reduces how much I fill the meter; again, even though I could fill 100% I don't actually do so. I have great coverage and great specialists (Level 43 at moment) but there are areas where I can only get 50-75% chance of success. So my question would be are you going by the fact it says maximum chance of success is 100% or by the fact you are filling that bar up to 100% and still failing even though you don't time out?

I cannot achieve 100% with the wrong specialists, or rookies instead of specific trained types.

Not failed a mission that I was aware of in ~ a year.

edit: I think I see what you mean but does that not affect the reward rather than % chance of success?

Skill points do affect the rewards, yes; as in level of medal and number of medals, as well as the safety grade of that department. But these points also add up to the percentage chance the specialists have of success at a given mission...which is why you won't see fire dept. specialists marked in green with a check mark by them on your list when the mission requires police only...fire specialists are not suited to that mission, and if you use them, you will have less chance of a success than if you used police. But the overall mission will still show as (example) 100% if it requires a Captain and a Detective and you have those, and green coverage and you also have that.

In essence, the percentage of success is a maximum chance possible not the chance of success with the particular specialists you send. This is why it's not always 100% chance of success; if an emergency is where you have no coverage and no specialists matching what is requested (fire marshal, say, outside your coverage area and you only have rookies) you have only a 10% chance of success if you send your rookie. You won't be able to achieve 100% with the wrong specialists, but you can get 100% with rookies if the mission requires rookies of that department type. This is why I ask if what is being talked about is the fact the mission bar says "Maximum chance of success 100%" or the fact that, having selected those specialists, that bar is filled in up to 100%...which are two completely different things.

Sorry to add to an old post but as it's titled 'emergency calls', I felt it was still relevant.

Is there any sort of penalisation for not responding to emergency calls? I'm level 13 and I don't want to keep dragging the services in and out of the inventory and I don't like responding to those that only give me a 10% chance of sorting. I haven't seen anything obvious but am asking just incase!

    Many thanks

The timer of that building just gets delayed for the full ten minutes if you ignore it (usually; sometimes the timer ends up not being affected, usually notice that if I have to refresh from Flash crashing).

Try to group as much as you can within range of your services fir now; you'll get more substations eventually. Power plants will still function if you don't "clean up" the emergency, so you can leave those out of coverage for now and they won't be targeted again, though you'll have to clean them up to move them.
