Great choices......... as it happens I recognise all those photos. The first one is from a mid 1980's Australian Opera production I saw a couple of times. The second is definitely an Opera Australia (they changed their name) production I saw at the Sydney Opera House around 2011. The bottom picture is from an English National Opera production of 2012 I saw on YouTube. It's shows the final 'alls well that ends well' chorus with full cast. (I just watched it through again because of that picture :rolleyes::rolleyes:).

    ...and your next wish??

Oh wow, you clearly love your Opera huh Sargent! I'm glad you enjoyed the photo's and that one of them inspired you to re-watch the "All's well that ends well" chorus again.
Why do I ALWAYS forget to give my next choice!? Doh! Silly girl that I am! .... My apologies.

Yes, the butterflies are gorgeous aren't they ....... So, onto the roses - Firstly I checked there is not an Opera called "A Perfect Rose"!! There were so many to choose from so I hope you enjoy this little selection ..... ABSOLUTELY STUNNING (I really enjoyed searching for them as they are just so beautiful - Good choice Sargent)
I would like to see ...... A bear cub

I don't know of an opera called 'A Perfect Rose ' either, but there is one called 'The Rose of Persia'. It's by Sir Arthur Sullivan who, in conjunction with the librettist Sir William S. Gilbert, wrote 'The Mikado'. :D:D

The roses are truly stunning. I'm pretty sure I have the pinkish/white one (bottom row left) in my garden although I have no idea what it's called! Not that it's doing much at the moment anyway. Still winter here and the forecast is for minus 3 tonight!!!

Anyway on to the bear cub(s) ................ CUTE OR WHAT!!!!!:cool::cool:

    Hmmmmm, intriguing!
I would like to see ..... The Statue of Liberty

LOL ..... intriguing indeed. It's a convoluted four act opera by Tchaikovsky based on Gogol's story "Christmas Eve". In short, boy loves girl and vise versa. Girl sets boy the task of getting her a pair of slippers just like those the Tsarina wears. He goes one step further and gets the real thing. Ultimately she decides she would rather have him (she gets him) rather than a pair of fancy shoes, even if they do belong to the Tsarina! ..... I might add none of this happens until halfway through act 3. It really is a VERY convoluted story :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

....and so, onto the STATUE OF LIBERTY (although I suspect she might be cringing just a little at the moment).:oops:o_O
