  1. Does this mean that Amalia faces a different problem then skb?

I don't know. I've only tested the eco-row, so that might be different - if I do any others I'll post it here. Maybe the key is taking it to inventory and back? It's a mystery.

  3. Amalia seems to suggest that the overall consumption is not corrected after the in/out "trick" like in your case, if I read her right. For you it's a display issue mainly, provided the general values would be corrected after game refresh without in/out.

  4. I tried the inventory thing many times before, and never worked as you say. I keep record of all the numbers, so I don't need to rely on my memory!

Also here https://board-en.risingcities.com/threads/mood-not-decreased-50.8030/#post-133163 other players reported that moving a house to the inventory showed that the values of mood and energy subtracted from the total city were consistent with the 50 % reduction (for example, check skippyroo1980's post there)

But I tried again after reading your post and you are right! Now it seems to work!:D

Example with a Prefab level 4: mood/energy 8/4, after reduction should be 4/2

    city values moodenergy
    initial
    7871
    4978
    Prefab in inventory
    7863
    4974
    subtracted: 8/4
    Prefab out
    7867
    4976
added: 4/2 exactly as you notice.
So I thought to do the same with all the houses I already upgraded and didn't give me the discount! But then I thought : "What will happen if I put the SAME house in the inventory again?"

    Here we have the numbers:

    city values moodenergy
    initial
    7867
    4976
    Prefab in inventory
    7859
    4972
    subtracted: 8/4
    Prefab out
    7863
    4974
    added: 4/2 :p
And AGAIN, with the SAME house:

    city values moodenergy
    initial
    7863
    4974
    Prefab in inventory
    7855
    4970
    subtracted: 8/4
    Prefab out
    7859
    4972
    added: 4/2 :confused::eek:
Every time I put the same house in the inventory 8/4 units are subtracted and then, when the house is back in the city, only 4/2 units are added.

I could have continued this "move" as many times as I wanted, but this is enough to test and we still have a problem.

At this point I decided to stop. Things are not getting better! And I don't want to mess up with my city numbers.:confused::confused::confused:

I started with a city with 7871/4978 mood/energy values and ended up with 7859/4972 just moving the same house several times to the inventory!!!

After reloading the page, the values stay the same: 7859/4972.

  5. having just reread all these posts i thought i would put all my level4 residences into the inventory all 15 of them.
mood loss before i started was 1462 when this was completed and all housing back in place mood loss was 13892
during this there was no change to my power usage
i have then put 5 level 4 modern family homes back into the inventory before i started power usage was 9624 when i finished power usage was only 9564
seems that you have to place each house into the inventory twice mmmmm:confused::confused::confused:

  6. Did you move all the houses to the inventory at the same time? Try one by one, and check the numbers. For me that worked.

But be careful, we still have a huge problem with this!

  7. one at a time with the modern family home for the power wthi the mood i did 5 at a time, since last post have done the rest and the power has been adjusted on every one of the houses :)
one thing is though the displays havnt changed

  8. Oh! What a great feature! Do we finally have a tool for an unlimited reduction of the power and mood footprint? No more power and mood limitation. Just in/out as many times as you need, like pumping oil with a hand pump. :D :D :D Now I really like this game.   It means we can demolish our power plants and save some space ................... lol. It's better then RI. Wonder what the expiration date is, though. :) Is it why other players keep quiet? Sorry boys and girls for spoiling your fun. :)

Now I think I have to repent and revoke my comment. No, this thing doesn't need to get fixed. :p

  9. I don't often say this, but LOL... I did the move in/out of the inventory trick 5(!) times and each time the power usage and mood loss decreased by 2, respectively 4 units (prefab houses). Cleared cache and cookies, restarted my computer, the figures remain low.
Now, as funny as this is, I'm done experimenting until this is properly fixed. Otherwise I might just start my game one day and find my power/mood bars well below 75%

  10. Dear devs.

Please forget I ever mentioned anything about this mood/power reduction feature not working right. I thoroughly repent and ask your forgiveness. This is actually working better then right. Now I plead you not to fix it. :D

    With the best regards

    Norton Commander.

  11. :D i second that

Thanks guys, this was interesting to come across. I had experienced the same problems and now self-fixed by moving each level 4 house for which I had chosen the mood/energy reduction to the inventory and back. ONCE :) Got ~500 Energy and ~1000 mood back this way.

    Reading this irritated me though:

The subject has been brought up in the German forum since the middle of December. And been passed on to the devs straight away, according to the mods there.

  13. maybe the paperwork has been mislaid or someone burnt it :D

  14. It seems that all the "testers" are comming to unified results about level four 50 % reduction, meaning there is actually the same one dual problem, namely display glitch and in/out trick exhibiting exactly the same way for all testers with all houses tested so far. Is that correct?

Now how about the 10 % p/m reductions from some mastery challenges? How do these work?

  15. you could be walking into a minefield on that one

from my tests, -10% mood power work ok, the numbers show wrongly on the house detailed window for the mood.

  17. Have you tried any in/out tricks with them? :)

The team are saying this is a system refresh issue not a real glitch as such but we will keep looking.

  19. And what does that mean? o_O I reloaded the page, logged out and in again, and the numbers stay the same. I even play RC in different computers, and the numbers stay the same.

Maybe "they" need to "refresh" something....:p:cool:

  20. refresh the team? that could mean a holiday:p
