Event unavailable? / time difference

    I decided to wait until today to start the wood chopping event because the I thought it would be available from the times given in the announcement.
    "Hello Mayors,

    Sharp your axes because Wood-chopping Competitions are back in town. Event is accessible from Friday 30.01.2014 14:00 CET – Wednesday 05.02.2014 22:00 CET and lasts 72h"

    However, it is not showing as available now (approx. 5:45 US Eastern). I do not know the time difference between CET and US Eastern, so that may be why. If it is still within that timeframe, why is it no longer accessible?

    Thanks in advance for help with information about this.

    Now it's about 24:00 CET, so it expired about two hours ago. :)

    Eastern time is 6 hours behind. You would have to start the event by 4 p.m. of your local time.

    CET time always confuses me as well maybe wiz can add something into faq
    as to what the plus/ minus to the CET is in different time zones eg CET to Brisbane ;):)

    There are countless websites that list the various time zones.
    A simple 30 second search on Google should enable someone to find all the information they may require.
    It'd probably be just as quick as finding the information there than in an FAQ thread.

    I personally don't think there is any need for an FAQ thread regarding time-zones. We'd spend more time having to modify it to keep it in line with BST/DST than it would prove useful.

    I'm sorry you missed out on the event this time around, MI.Calgon.
    For your information, the difference between EST & CET is currently 6 hours.

    :oops: I know I could have looked it up...I guess I was just hoping I was still in the time frame.
    :D I know the event will be back before too long, so I'll just have to make sure to start a bit earlier. ;) Guess I shouldn't try to wait until nearly the last minute in hopes of being able to get two events done in a short time!
