Most of you probably realize that the new confirmation screen for the use of Metro Money is defaulted to the off position. It requires you to turn this feature on.

Realize that when you clear your cache (getting your reward from the cineplex, unsticking a farm or factory etc.). That you must reset this instruction in the game. I just spent a couple of hundred MM's by accident thinking I had protected myself against this. This is not a complaint. It was totally my fault. I forgot about this.

Maybe we can get the developers to change this to a default on instead.

My condolences. I actually went on for a few days before realizing I should switch it on. Pure luck it didn't happen to me.

  3. The default should be on. It still shows that the team strugles to play fair. It stands to reason that such a protection is ON as a default. Well, unless you still want people to spend MM accidentaly ............... Go figure ........... any thoughts? :)

Yes, but I can not type them in a family friendly forum. The best I can say is I feel like an idiot for not thinking about this before I lost the MM's. I was one movie away from getting the last plot of land on my main play field. Now have to wait five more days. Assuming I get three movies a day. Stupid ***%%%*** :D:D:D:p

Wow, I had no idea that you had to turn it back to on after clearing cache. Thank you for posting. Yes, the default should be Metro Money confirmation button ON. I don't even like to think about WHY the default is off. It seems sneaky to me.

billyjim, I did the same mistake. At least I upgrated a bakery by mistake, which is not so bad. Still it was a lot of MM, that I was saving to buy something else.

This time I can only blame myself...

  7. Did the anouncement say you have to switch confirmation layer on?

    Yes it did

  9. Cool :) I don't read much RC these days. :)

It still feels sneaky to me, even if the announcement said that. Did the announcement say we had to reset it after clearing cache? I don't think it did.

I'm sleepy so the announcement may have said clearly that if we clear our cache, we need to reset the MM confirm button.

If my memory is working correctly it does not say that after resetting the cache you have to turn the confirmation back on. But since all other unique settings for your game are reset when done. I guess this should have been self evident.

    No it doesn't say so

  13. Whatever it says, simple fact is, the default should be ON. Anyone knows a good reason why not? :)

Goodness Norton, you already know the reason it doesn't default to 'off'.

It's one of two things: 1) They forgot (again), or 2) They want us to screw up.

    Take your choice.
