Moving Manufacturing and Power Facilities

I'm sure this has been brought up before but I couldn't find the thread in a quick search.

Please allow us to move ALL buildings in our cities including power and manufacturing facilities.

I would specifically like to move my coal power plants and bakeries without demolishing them.
Note: I demolished a bakery and it let me rebuild it instantly without using materials - BUT - I lost the upgrades and I wasn't happy with that.

Since we're getting new play fields soon, it would be nice to do things like:
- consolidate a specific power area by moving all power to one single locale
- consolidate bakeries - many of us filled up our main cities before we were granted more bakery permits and now have bakeries on both the coast and in the main city - it would be nice to have them all together
- relocate our farms or mills - in case someone wanted to use a single locale for manufacturing
- if we're getting more clay pit and brewery locations in the new fields- it would be nice to be able to move those manufacturing units if we want to

 

You are right it has been posted several times already. And as you suggest this issue will become increasingly important with growing number of playfields. Hence I too think the devs should consider including this feature in some form, even if with great restrictions, in their future game development. This would be another step to help beautify and "freedomise" our cities. Well, for some of us, at least.

This is getting increasingly irritating.

 

I support this and im sure we will get heard and they will implement this idea.

 

It is becoming more important as the game becomes more complex. Please listen to us Developers. Please, Please.

 

C'mon. Don't beg them. Keep your dignity. Didn't you know that most IT people are so detached from real life they can hardly take care of themselves? Don't expect them to show sympathy.

 

No begging only a little whining. I do not give a dime for dignity. If it will get us the ability to move these items to different playing fields. I will beg, bargain, threaten, hold my breath till I turn purple, and jump up and down. We need this ability now because the game is changing beyond the point where we can keep everything where we started with.

Striking the famous "conspiracy theory" once again, maybe this is another attempt to extract MM from players' pockets. If you demolish to move it, chances are some will use a lot of MM to get it back to required level quickly. Well, just a theory, but, with some limited credibility.

 

Not everything is a conspiracy. It would be interesting to hear the logic of why we can not move the manufacturing facilities to new playing fields.

On the same playfield, yes. We are talking between playfields (from main city to coast or to suburbs).

Is anybody out there?!? Heard some noises from the background, which sound like putting mobile home (Americans know) on the wheels and moving it to another state. It's another playfield here. Are you working on our "powerplant/manufacture-move" feature?

 

Remember the Developers are European. They may not be aware of the American fetish of mobile home moving. Sorry it is the twenty first century. The new politically correct terminology -- Modularly Prefabricated Homestead. We need to move our "power/manufacture plants". We are never satisfied with our location chooses.
