  1. I am loving the newest play field. Although I can't figure out why there are no new spots for extra hydro plants. Two or three seems simple to me. Who wants to have a nuclear city. Have we not learned anything from Japan. Unless there are plans for an industrial park area, this is an oversite. Larger cities will feel the strain... soon.

  2. Who? You might be surprised. In this game I prefer nuclear to hydro as it gives a lot more energy per unit of space taken. I built all 3 as soon as they got available and demolished some coal plants to redeem space, while only 2 hydros have been built so far. Well, just one, as one was given completed. Although I wouldn't mind upgradable underground nuclear. But that's an old familiar story. :) From beauty side, imo that stack of 5 Hydro plants packed next to each other like birds on electric wire looks rather silly and more of them would just spoil the coast. On the other hand, If they come up with nice looking off-shore hydro plants, then I might go for it. :) But better give us those upgrades instead of more and more space takers and beauty spoilers. :)

Maybe we could have some tidal or wave action powered plants? We do need more items that can be used in the sea areas.

I think the nuclear plants look cool. I put them way far away from the beach; no danger from tsunamis.

I do both in game and irl.
Hydropower kills lots more ppl then nuclear power do.

I think nuclear looks better to and if not they are easy to hide in a corner.

  6. i think they should make off shore wind farms

  7. A great idea !

Even if I have all 5 hydro plants, I still build 3 nuclear power plants and even bought a new permit for the fourth (which I already built it too).

  8. thank you daniel23492 and even if it is a nuclear city its not like it is going to explode and where ever you placed it be it the burbs beach or the starting off playing field, its not going to make it uninhabitable like hiroshima or chernobyl

An idea could be for all the empty ocean we have. To build wave power plants.
Witch produce electricity by harnessing the swell of the ocean.
The amount they produce would be something like 250 power and mood reduction of 50-100. Why not so much power? Because well they don't produce large amount of power.

Wave power plants do not produce a great deal of power but the potential area is awesome. They could put to use the sea plots with out having to build piers out from shore.

  11. they do they have some off the coast of Portugal and it makes lots electricity

Yes they do but each individual generator is a relatively low out put but with the large space and limitless supply of energy you can group many of these generators together and create a great deal of electricity. Well done Portugal. I think these and off shore wind farms would be great additions to the game.

  13. it would be a help

I had an idea for an of offshore wind park. And some additions to it.
But many people for some reason didn't like it.

  15. well ill be one of those people who now does

  16. If they don't like it, it's easy: don't buy, guys!!!

Since we have the coastal area and much of the sea isn't used. (at least I don't)

I think it would be a good idea to have a wind farm so you could use the space and get more power. But it will be expensive because green power is expensive most of the time.

First of al you will need a harbour, cost:250.000cc.
In the harbour you will be able to build 2 suppliers each will cost 100.00cc.
The suppliers are needed to maintain the windmills, that means they don't need a road connection so you can place them any where you want.

The windmills will cost each 50.000cc .They will each produce 50-75 power and -5 mood. The size of the windmills will be 1x1.
You start of with 20 windmills. You can get more with MM or win windmills in events.

The windmills will only produce power as soon as you have 2 suppliers.

    Total cost: 1.450.000cc, power:1000 or 1500, -100 mood.
(I'll let BP choose building materials if they ever implement it into the game)

If you think:"that's far to expensive".
Like I said green power is expensive and if everything in this game was cheap it would be to easy

*This is back a bit but I found my post many people complained my idea was to expensive, but it's expensive because otherwise BP will make it premium.

  18. it doesn't matter how expensive it is if people want something they are willing to pay whatever for it

I do not think the expense is the issues. It is finding a beneficial use for the sea plots. A wind farm would be nice. Truth is I do not foresee many of us building major residential or industrial centers at sea ala Dubai. But to each there own. I just want to justify the expenditure of a couple of million in cc's for those plots for more than aesthetics.

  20. I think the best use for the sea is to build an extensive pedestrian pier walkway to view sharks and waves and sea birds. :) And of course a bit of harbour for yachts and boats and ferrys. :) Everybody likes chilling out, right?
