It'd be nice if you could move power plants and manufacturies between different fields like residential, commercial and deco items. I'd even spend MM to buy any slots for those. Strange how you can also move emergency items but there is only one field for them.

ive been suggested but its good that ppl come back to this idea
we should be able to place in inventory any type of item!!! regardless of their category.

I just had an aberrant thought maybe we have the wrong end of the problem. The power and manufacturing plants are always on. Maybe the problem is that we can not move them because the game is using them to produce something in the game all of the time. Energy or product. Just like we can not move the emergency system facilities while there is an emergency in progress. Maybe the developers need to create the capacity to turn these facilities off, then we would be able to move them or store them for future use.

  4. Nice try, Billy, but no, not at all. :) The reason you can't move ERS components when emergency is in progress is to prevent cheating by moving everything you need near the emergency spot, creating perfect conditions without the nead to actually properly cover the space. :)

To move PF or Power Plants would work exactly like moving houses or decos. The value get's adjusted when the item is put in Inventory, and re-adjusted back when taken out.

The reason could be that any item placed in the inventory is balanced off the energy/mood count. With power plants, this would mean a big boost for mood, and with manufacturing a boost for both mood and energy. Both would enable us to "cheat" the balancing game.
That is, if there is a reason. Because how hard would it be to program the inventory so that manufacturing and power plants placed in it would still affect mood and energy? So, it could be this item is just not very high on their priority list. Let's keep reminding them.

  8. That would actually be cool. :) I would then place most power plants in inventory so that they don't take space on the playfield. :) They are ugly anyway. :) Now tell me about cheating. :D

  9. It is the same with high level buildings. They consume a lot of mood & energy, but you can place them in the inventory.

  10. But high level Residentials look cool and that's what we want in our game. While Power Plant's due to their high numbers in proportion to Residencies can be easily viewed as a "necessary evil". :) Not sure about others, but I like various neighbourhood settings, but am not excited about power plants quarters with 10 and more 3x3 buildings. :)
