I have read some previous threads on this but i need to voice my opinion as i do like this game but being a newbie to the game i'm finding it increasingly difficult to complete tasks when requirements seem to far out of reach for someone with a small amount of residents (Eg: axe collecting for Lumberjack Task) I'm lucky to be getting 1 axe in every 5-10 rental collect, which could add up to over 3200 rental collects to complete the current part of this task which to me is a little unreasonable under the time restraints given to complete the entire task also considering most players like me can not be on the game to collect etc. 24/7. Thank-you for listening.

I agree with you, at lower level it can be really hard now that you cant use xpresso anymore.
Generally speaking residential with rent under 2h have very low drop rate so having some with longer rent cycle will help.
At low level it can be hard as they have high cost :/

As Tellus points out, the longer rent houses do (I think this has been confirmed) give more drops and in this regard prize houses from previous events become very useful.

Circus, tenement are 2 hour rents. Log cabin, fondant palace are 3 hour etc. So place them as you win them and each event should be easier than the last.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for your input. I'm not really bothered that I won't finish I just think Timed Tasks such as the Event Plaza should be a little more forgiving on the collection side anyway cause the creation side eg: Lumber, Beams etc still take a fair chuck of the time. Maybe when gifting from neighbors becomes available we should be able to ask for those specialty items from them, hopefully. :)

Don't hold your breath on this, see many threads passim.

Lumber, beams can be produced prior to starting - this at least allows you to dedicate all your time to logs (in the wood-cutter event), or plywood and mulch (rock show) etc.

For the record I added this to our weekly report to the developers around two weeks ago for them to consider some changes to the drop rates.;)

As they just increased the difficulty of event I wouldn't hold my breath for them to lower it again this soon.

  8. I just started playing! "Hi!" I haven't past level 15 quite yet, but it seems really hard since level 10? any thoughts?

    This is next for you:
    Weekly Event - Farmer's Market
Make sure you have all lumber, beam, tomato, potato ready before you start.
Get as many farms as possible, you need them.
Make sure you have enough in stock for 3 days need as your farms will be doing event stuff.
Overproduce in step 3 and 4. Even if you only need 10 carrots run all farms with them as leftovers get saved to step 5.
If you do farmer 10-14 take it as training for farmer 15-19 witch is one of the hardest events there is.

I appreciate that, the events are still quite difficult as i am still trying to build higher end residents. Possibly the lower end need guaranteed small drops maybe 5 per collect while the higher end be random maybe (20-30)

  12. Hi, I understand exactly what you mean about the frustration of drops and difficulty of getting anywhere near finishing an event. I am level 38 now and had a few "easy" events when I was at the top level allowed in the lower level group. Now it is just as hard as early on in the game. I have nearly died of boredom and used up sooo many resources trying the football event. I have a job and family so cannot play all day or into the night. Those of us with normal lives seem very disadvantaged so the "gamers" can enjoy the success of completing hard events. I looked ahead and spent some days preparing stocks of what would be needed. Then 3 days trying to collect footballs ( no expresso !!!) and I am going to be out of time before any of the stuff will be needed. Not fun. ID 1846544

It is not easy to produce all the time since at the lower levels you also have a problem with the production points. I was running out of production points all the time and it took me a lot of time to find the correct balance. Not an easy task...

Can only agree, farmer is a really hard event.
Why BP thinks its a good idea to give new players an event that would make experienced players sweat is beyond me.
Most say that the rewards are really good thou, but if you don't get them that doesn't mater :(
