  1. took me till the second event to finally realize this and I'm wondering if anyone else thinks it just seem a bit too unfair that event products can just suddenly disappear from your warehouse without any warning? thankfully wasting 120 productionpoints isn't too much to complain about now but I have to wonder if others have lost 300+ with nothing to use/sell for it on the other hand

The whole point of event is a (pre-calculated) race against the clock. It would therefore not be reasonable to let us accumulate products from one event, and use them a few weeks later when the event returns. For the same reason, we cannot buy and sell these goods in the market place.
The only exception to this rule is when one product is used in two different stages -- in this case, you can accumulate and use for all stages. If the product is used in two non-consecutive stages, it will disappear from your warehouse but the amounts you produced will reappear miraculously when you will need them again.

Also it was pointed out by Nortoncommander on another thread that it does not really matter if we have to over produce a portion of a run to meet the required event production. We have to do the production run anyway to get the products we need. This is a subtle way to look at the production cycle but useful. Took me several months to comprehend.

If you need 400 carrots and you produce 160 carrots per production run then you need to run three runs of carrots. It does not matter if the required total is 400 or 480. You still have to produce the same number of carrot runs. Using the same production points.

For overnight runs, or if logging off/ignoring the game for a while, it is often worth making an excess in case of emergencies. There is nothing as frustrating as finding out a farm caught fire just as you went to bed.

    So if I need 400 carrots, I usually produce 4 x 160 = 640.

You will soon cease caring about the PP cost of anything.

All right you caught me I can not do math well on the fly. I should have said if the event calls for 500 carrots or three runs of 160 carrots per farm.

You got to love those overnight production runs. :)

  6. at least thankfully the events don't require high-PP items (could you imagine running two 1200-points when you only needed one?!) so like nervo82 said it doesn't matter too much at this low rate now right? :)

tamy I already had that in mind just didn't think to write it down in the first post, I could understand not wanting to be able to reserve "last week's production"

I told you I can not do math o_O I was of that first generation to live by the calculator. Let me see three times four is eleven right. :p
