I've been browsing the forums, learning about this game, and getting tips from other users' problems. I'm new to free to play games.

That said, I'm not so sure about how much time everyone here plays this game? Do you guys have it constantly running in the background, logging in a few times a day, or trying to survive 1 or 2 logins a day (as I am doing). Also, I do not use real money to play this or any other game.

  2. 24/7 :)

its good that you try to understand the game before you start spending money.
i used to keep my game loged in the background all day, but lately (for the past couple of months) game breaks if i keep it logged, so now i just log in and out more often and i get less "oops, connection lost"
i also try to log in when my production is ready, i dont follow rent cycles, because at some point they are to many and varied and i cant keep up, would have to be 24/7 like norton ;)
so take it easy, learn the game, enjoy its fun parts, try to ignore the bugs that cannot be solved, remember to always post on forum or open a ticket if you encounter a bug that seems to have a solution from moderators or admins.

    RC is a nice game.

  5. Same here as well. It's better and give you enough time to do other stuff between playing time :)

    Happy gaming !

Based on my experience, if you want to progress quickly, you need to spend a lot of time online in the beginning. Or at least log-in very frequently to collect the products you need, and to make sure your PP levels topped up.
As you progress through the levels, you need to be online less frequently.

I'm at level 57 now, and I usually log on for 5 mins at the beginning of my day, once before I go to bed, and usually 1-2 times between them to collect some products. So we're talking about 10 minutes a day if you've got some quick fingers.

With the way I'm feeling at the moment, I don't believe the game deserves any more of my time than that, and it certainly doesn't deserve any of my money!
Not until they pull their finger out of wherever it has been for the last couple of months!
    But, I digress...ever so slightly!

    Hope you enjoy the game!

When I started I was online for six or seven hours at a time collecting rent and production items constantly. I could not wait to complete anything in the game. After a while I calmed down and learned to not be so anxious to not let a single missed cycle go by.

Eleven months later I log in every morning collect all rents, all production items, reset all residential improvements that have expired and restock all commercial buildings. Then visit the forums. This takes about an hour. Repeat in the mid afternoon or evening and just before going to bed. So I spend about three to four hours a day on the game.

Hope this helps you, there is no right or wrong way to play this game. That is what attracts most of us to the game, we are able to set our own agenda and follow it. Good luck with your city and let us know how things go for you.

  8. Depends on what I'm doing in the game. If I'm doing an event, I'm on much more often.
Regularly, though, I'm generally on for about 10 min a day, if that. Sometimes I go a few days before logging in if I'm overloaded on RC.

Not much these days - come to the forum to read the latest bug-count, hoping to find some dev apologies or humility re the birthday event but not holding my breath.

Now nervo82 holding your breath just makes you turn purple and it is such a hard color to coordinate with. It clashes with reds, blues and makes the browns and beige look all funky. So go ahead and breath. We will not get any response. :D:D

  11. I actually think that one day this mystery figure will come out of hiding and voila ! Producer's letter will arrive. :) The moment they have something to brag about, they will. :)

You are quite correct my favorite person to put me in my place. But, until that day comes I get to be **** of the walk. :p

  13. I play about once a week or so.

  14. I haven't spent a dime of real money yet and haven't needed too. :) Probably my favorite part about this game is the fact you don't have to babysit it all the time, but you can if you want to or need to. I'm at level 19 now and log on about 3 times a day and usually spend 1-3 hours each time. This is a fun game.

How much I spend on the game depends, more than anything, on what else is going on in my life. I hardly ever log in during weekends, and had a long dry spell now during the summer vacation. During working days I keep the game going at the background, and in between meetings etc. check to see if there is anything I should do. So officially, the game is on about 8 hours a day, but I spend in total between half and hour to an hour playing.
