Is there any good reason to use a lot of materials and CC to upgrade City Hall instead of upgrading other Buildings?

Yes and no. Upgrading city hall triggers certain internal steps in the system; which leads to better rewards and opportunities. They are fairly subtle and are not immediately noticeable. In the long run they do pay off but are not an instant reward, rather an accumulative effect. So the decision is yours on what to do, depends on your cities current needs. Factors game level, population, needs, etc. have to be taken in to account. Good luck.

You are not the first to ask this question here is a link to a previous thread on the same subject from back in May 2014

There are a lot of threads for city hall tasks issues from a few months ago. So it was easy to miss. It took me several tries to find it and I knew it was there somewhere. :):)

Example: go to Speakers Corner and look for a thread named "Why upgrade City Hall".
Highlight that text (left click, hold and drag), click Ctrl+c (windows) go to your post and click Ctrl+v, done :)
