    It all depends, as all else in this game :)
    I do/wish i did choose the power/mood reduction on "normal" buildings.
    On some event buildings that i think is good and have low power/mood impact i take the extra income.
    On the big time buildings (6h+) u sure can use the 25% reduce time.

    But thats me, u need to find out what u think suites ur town.

    I personally go for the money every time.
    Cash is king.
    If power/mood is an issue, you can use that money to purchase RI, which will do pretty much the same job as the mastery. Just will need to be updated regularly.

    As a general rule of thumb, I like to get around 1000 CCs in rent per house per collection. For the vintage duplexes, I opted for rent but for the modern rows and the sleek duplexes I opted for mood. In general, capitalist houses I opt for rent but for workers and students I opt for mood.

    agreed, capitalists > rent specialty, workers/students > mood specialty.
    this is also my grand plan ;)

    Rent every time for me. I've way to many decos so mood is not an issue. Power hasn't been a problem for a while, but I think it might be creeping up on me again.

    So how do I have a building speciality? Do I have to move in all workers, or all capitalists?

    When you upgrade a house to level 4 you get to choose one of 3 speciality's.

    ... but why not go for only mood/energy since space are limited and energy and mood becomes very expensive very fast and do take up a lot of space.

    Energy and mood were very difficult for me for a while.
    Mood is OK now with some very level mood prizes (2 soccer sand lot @ 350 each) and mystery buildings (eiffel tower @ 1000).
    Energy OK just now with hydro plant and nuclear power stations. I have used up 3 NP permits so will now need to buy with MM.
    With 4 playfields, I still have some spare space.

    So I go for cash. Today got my manor to level 4, with 3 satellite RI. 20,250 CC per collection.:D

    I always go for energy/mood, since it's the most valuable compared to RI's (assuming epic) and ultimately allows for more buildings. Seems like the most future-proof option, though this rumored RI workshop may change that, I doubt it. You get more reduction from it than any one RI. Rent/need RI's are equal to or greater than mastery, and I don't like messing with the timer. Honestly don't think percentage-based timer reduction is good for mastery and it should cut a predetermined amount per building to keep it even. Could extend that to RI's with some work. Though I am tempted to use timer mastery & RI's for some really long timer buildings, the profit isn't really big enough to be worth it to me, and I'm holding out for a way to change masteries eventually.

    mood and energy is not an issue anymore, since we have "unlimited" permits. instead of spending my MM on anything else, i save them for 2 things:
    * Nuclear power plants 138 power/square
    * mystery season 4 >100 mood/square
    I also use epic mood/power RI for larger towers, because it matters there. at my current rate of expansion/upgrading im fine for another half year with my latest nuclear addition. so i dont see a reason to use mood/power specialty.
