Hydro-Electric Power Plant

I feel like I've been asking a lot of questions lately, but I did quite a few searches to try and answer this one to no avail.

If I unlock the plot containing the Hydro-Electric Power Plant, will I need to wait until Level 29 to use it? I wasn't sure if it would be available immediately since it's already on the playfield (I'm on Level 17).

 

Asking lots of questions do not only help you but also others that may not ask themselves for some reason. So ask as much as you like
You will get it and can use it right away but cant build any more until 29.

Thanks so much! I am working on building the Coal-Fired Power Plant (you know that from another thread), but since I sold over $600K of products in the Marketplace, I thought that spending it on that plot for $810K would be worth it. It does give off less power, but the cost of the plot will be really expensive if I let it go too much longer and buy other plots first.

Just to make sure you know: You have to buy all of the plots and build a road between the connector roads and the upper side of the power plant (snow side) of the Hydro power plant. Making this fairly expensive proposition to do quickly. But, the power source is great with no negative mood impact.

I'm a little confused, are you saying I can't use the Hydro plant on the beach if I haven't gotten to the Mountains and built the Hydro Dam there?

 

Sorry I got confused I was thinking of the dam in the mountain area not the hydro power plants on the main playing field. So sorry for the confussion. Many regrets. When you get the Mountain play field you will love the Dam and the power it generates.

The Hydro plants are nice producers but limited. In your situation, per your other thread, they are expensive and limited power supply. But the choice is yours.

Do you think I should save my money for other plots and constructing buildings at this point since I will have 2 small power plants from the Halloween event and the Coal plant built in a few days?

 

You need to use your discretion and stay in balance. Build some building and then some power plants. Get into a routine is the safest way to go, in my opinion. It is real easy to overload one factor over another.
