I'm on Level 19 and don't want to level up so I can do the Children's Festival in order to get the EMS items. I'm watching my points closely, but I can't seem to find any information about how many experience points you receive when you collect production items or build any type of building. Is this listed somewhere?

I found a crazy algorithm for calculating experience points for rent, but nothing else.

I'm actually looking for a source, or reference material, that lists how many experience points you get for each individual function.

    If I remember right.
    Rent/10 + bonuses (mastery, improvement's)
    Need/10 + bonuses (mastery, improvement's)
    Production PP/20 round up
There was a few houses at some levels that where of a few xp. Hopefully they are corrected now.
The numbers are some ½ year old but I doubt they have change it.

Now that I see it in writing I believe you are correct TellusXIV. I do remember one of the number crunchers did post this data some time about the first of the year. Thanks for your memory.

    Thanks so much for this!

I have been watching my EP closely and it jumped unexpectedly. The only thing I could think of was that each stage of the building process provides experience, not just the final step. Do you happen to know if this is true?

You Experience Points for almost everything you do in the game. Collect Rent, Produce Products are the two big ones. You also can effect the amount you receive by meeting your residents needs and Residential Improvements which makes calculating the exact ratio of EP to citizen so difficult. One of the reasons that there is not a FAQ posting about this. There are just to many variables to put in a concise format. That is the long answer here is the short one. Yes, I do believe you get Experience Points for each stage of the building process. I have not paid to much attention to this. Maybe one of the more observant players can confirm. Thanks guys. :D

It is. You can mouse over the XP bar to see the number changes after each step. Before a recent change to the interface, you would see the amount after each step pop up much like after you move in residents at the end.

I couldn't tell you if there is any formula for the XP gained for building stages. There doesn't seem to be, as you'll get different amounts of XP for the same amount of materials across buildings. Building level and material level & amount might factor in, but I've never cared to determine anything.

Thanks for this information. I think it would be easy enough for the programers to add the information about EP to the information screen on each residential building and production facility. This way, no one has to calculate anything and there are no surprises like the one I had while doing one of the building stages.

I also find it odd that there is no information about what you are collecting at City Hall each day. I would expect a pop-up when you place your mouse over the present and it tells you there how much you get - and what you get.

Just remembered this. It's kind of messy, and in French, but they have a table of all of the XP there.

    Houses

    Factories

    City hall

I'll use this opportunity to lament once more the fact that we can't just go to another language's forums easily anymore. And to criticize this silly level-restriction that makes people resort to this kind of calculating.

Unless you've turned off the options for symbols and tips, you will see icons and/or text when you collect from the city hall, though sometimes they can be hard to see/read. If you only mean knowing before-hand, I assume the prize is determined at random the moment you click so it's not possible to show it before, but changing it to be determined and displayed once the timer is ready would probably be easy enough for them to do.

IF my memory has not deceived me (as it sometimes will do)...I think that on Facebook for Rising Cities there is a language translation button you can click on. Would think that the forums could easily have such a function added (and this would be nice).

    Thx for links :)
Agree that its annoying that they removed the easy access to other forums. On the other hand RC is infamous when it come to all types of information exchange so I guess it fits.

    Noted a new? building.
Do you know where Square Renaissance (L5) is from? Is it French only?

I doubt it. I think I first saw it on the German boards. No idea if anyone has one as I've seen no mention of it (haven't looked much either though), or the mythical snowflake villa and other mountain-themed loot-o-matic prizes aren't there despite the French moderators insisting that the devs insisted that it is present.

I pointed this stuff out some time ago (here), and it's odd that none of it is listed here, if it's supposed to be in the game. Maybe the moderators here know it isn't there.
