Yet Another Log In Glitch

    My ID#6153803. More and more often I find I cannot log into RC. The blue loading page, or the playfield map, tends to "freeze" mid-load...and keep "loading" for hours on end. Not a browser cache issue or anything like that, because I have cleared, defragged, compressed, etc. AND three different computers in the house are all having the same issue, on different RC accounts; there are four of us living here. I also see many other posts about this, and with increasing frequency. Please fix this soon? Last time, my computer tech said she identified the problem was BP/RC was missing its server dns. Thanks.

    Yesterday I couldn't watch any videos from the cineplex, today like you I can't even log in. Wish this game was more consistant.

    yep same here. its actually 11:10pm here where i live in miami. same prob too with the cineplex. couldnt watch all ten movies the past week or so. I have two accountsthat have reported the same problems getting into the game, we can log in but it takes forever to load. we tired logging in to both our accounts at like 5:30pm EST today (1/4/2015) and we encountered problems. one thats mine and then one thats my twin sisters account. our ID #'s are (mine):6422562 and (hers):8930735​
     

  4. i also have had this problem since 6.5 hrs ago. if this keeps up i will not finish the last stage of the lumber jack.

    Have also noticed this happens most frequently during the last day of the weekly events, when yo9u really NEED to be logged in as much as possible in order to complete the most difficult portions of the events and get the top prize you expended all the pp and time and resources to get. I have missed on several 4th to 5th stage prizes due to these log in issues. Granted, it's a free game...but if you want people to spend their money buying extras for the game, you ought to be able to ensure the game actually works (especially at such crucial times). They should throw us a bonus code or something...to make up for wasted resources.
     
  6. my theater has not worked at all for days either. I bet they will reset this in the morning and I will be unable to finish the lumber jack event.

    They need to fix the glitch itself, not just reset. That's probably why this issue keeps getting worse and happening more frequently. I've been trying to log in for like 7-8 hours now and am seriously frustrated. There is no reason for this to have gone on for so long, and it's widespread enough the devs ought to be doing something. Of course, it's things like THIS that make me hesitate to spend money on MM; why waste cash buying virtual cash I cannot use because I can't log into the game?

    We have reported this to the team (who came back to work today) and hope they can take a look.

Am glad to hear this, but I must agree with Geflin: I expended a lot of materials and production points trying to win a Hollywood Diner and a Log Cabin, and now there is likely no way I can complete the event. My ID#8769002 ... I feel that there should be a bonus code or something to compensate players for lost time, materials, production points, and the event rewards they will not be able to get because of this. Thanks.

    Thank you for passing this along; hope it gets fixed soon. Was wanting to do the Rock Festival because I really can use the Epic RI's for my Level 4 buildings currently in upgrade construction, and don't want to risk it if all I will do is waste my time and resources. I love the game, but (like many) am getting tired of these constant glitches. It's one of the main reasons I do not spend more money on the game extras...and there are many of those I do want...but why buy what you can't use?

  13. I have been playing this game for over a year now,I have never been able to finish an event because it "loses connection"it really is a pain and I wish they would fix it.

    Well, another day passes and still cannot log in. It really should not take this long to correct a server crash, right? Usually when this happens they get it fixed in fairly short order. I'm just glad I had not started any event, or I would have lost two days' time and not completed it (and that means a lot of lost pp and materials). Last time they had this problem, my computer tech said it was a missing server dns. I'd bet they have just been resetting and not actually going in and fixing the glitch that is causing the problem. That would explain why it keeps happening, and more frequently, and keeps getting worse:confused:

    They had similar problems when they ran the winter festival event last year. Very interesting timing. :rolleyes:

    I get it this is the child of Y2K come back to haunt us every year at this time. Just another sequel. George Lucas and Disney can bring us Star Wars episode 7 and Pixar can bring us Toy Story 4. Why not BP bringing us the great sign in problems of January. :eek::confused::D:p

  16. Well, I must say I am sorely disappointed to see the log in issue is STILL not fixed. Of course it made me fail to complete my event. To think of all the time I wasted not to mention the production points and materials, only to fail because I could not get in to finish the last couple of production runs. THIS is supposed to encourage me to keep buying MM so I can enjoy the game more? Yes, I do occasionally buy MM and starter packs, and have done several cities learning the ins and outs of the game. I have introduced several others to the game as well. Been a loyal player for years...but am starting to wonder. I also am concerned that a friend pointed out the mods were saying one thing (ie problem was on the players' end) yesterday at 7:40 am their time and that they had reported the problem to the team three minutes later at 7:43 their time; kind of makes you wonder which version is true? Is this something they are doing on purpose (it seems to almost always happen on the days events are about to time out) to try and get us to spend more MM getting special buildings? I sincerely hope they will put out a bonus code to allow people to at least recoup what they expended trying to do the events...

    For the record we get information at different times, I am in Australia so am awake while the dev team are asleep. For this reason we answer questions on the information we have to hand at the time.
    This changes when we are advised from Germany.

    We all know the mods do what they can....but Germany needs to hear what the players are saying here. A game that cannot be played is no good to either the players or the company. A game that continually has access issues will inevitably lose players. Most important, players will not spend money on a game they cannot enjoy because they cannot play. I feel that this has been such an ongoing problem that by now the devs should have figured out how to prevent it from happening and/or fix it a lot quicker. I have also noted the worst log in problems seem to coincide with the event deadlines, which may be coincidence but it sure doesn't look good. It seems that when I most want or need to play, all I can do is get into the forum, and keep trying to log in every so often until hours/days later I get to actually play. That being said....any idea when this will get fixed?

    I've seen a couple of posts in NEW POSTS that suggests some people still can get into the game; I also would like an explanation of THAT. I have tried different browsers, different computers, and run the best AVS/Maintenance software you can get on a system with a Quad Core Intell Phenom II CPUS and a terabyte memory. My browser cache and defrag, etc. are so squeaky clean it's pathetic. Yet I just had the "thinking" symbol spinning on the map load page for over four hours! If this is a server issue, nobody should be getting in, one would think. It really makes me curious to hear some people can log in and others cannot.
