Hi my ID is 8052403. My problem is that I was doing the Lumberjack finals and all of the sudden it changed to the antiquities fair. I would rather finish the lumberjack finals if possible. Thanks.

  2. the only way that can happen is if you cancel one and then start again

I just finished the third step of the lumberjack finals and went to the lumber mill to start producing more logs, there were no logs to produce so I went and checked my event plaza and all of the sudden I was somehow on the fourth step of the antiquities fair and there were the carrots to produce on the farm. Even if I did accidently cancel the lumberjack finals I don't think I would have started the antiquities fair on the fourth level. I think that somehow it did switch and I'm a little disappointed but oh well. By the way how would you cancel an event?

To cancel an event there are two ways 1) let the timer run out. 2) Start another event. I have never heard of this happening before. Fortunately for you the Lumberjack event happens every month. So you will be given another chance next month.

The (computer) logs should show whether you canceled and restarted or it switched on you; I would ask the mods to actually check what took place and/or submit a support ticket. However, with no ill will intended, I have seen other players accidentally switch events like that (sometimes the tabs here can be hairtrigger)....and I would note the first two stages of the antiquities fair are production of logs and lumber; is it possible you thought you were doing lumberjack but were doing antiquities fair and didn't realize it?

  8. Hi Marilee,
I think I might have helped your confusion. But since you were having trouble with logs on Thursday, and the Lumberjack Finals didn't start until Friday, I think you must always have been doing the Antiquity Fair. I remember when I collected your logs and restarted them you had 400, which is the right number for phase 1 of Antiquity Fair, but not the right number for Lumberjack finals. Similarly, when I collected your logs again when you again had trouble with the mills you now had 800 which was enough for phase 2. However, I will admit that I called it the "Lumberjack finals" in your other thread, because I just copied what you posted. It was on Friday when I posted the OA for the lumberjack finals that I thought "someone said they were doing this earlier in the week, and that's not actually possible!", but couldn't remember who it was. I hope that clears it up.

If you want to do the lumberjack finals, they're on at the moment (and will be available until Wednesday). To cancel an event, open the event plaza, and click the left arrow in the top left corner of the plaza screen. This brings you back to the event chooser, which will let you choose Lumberjack finals (at the moment). If you click on that, it will check that you really want to abandon the Antiquity Fair.

    Good luck.

I guess you must be right, my memory isn't what it used to be, I did do the lumberjack finals and completed them so that's good. Also I never knew you could cancel and event and start a new one because I never noticed the arrow before, sorry I wasted your time but I am glad I found out about that anyway. You guys are doing a great job, thanks!

Never worry about wasting time. You learned something new, that was not a waste of time. Other people may have had a similar experience and were to shy, embarrassed, or scared to post, that was not a waste of time. It could have been an actual problem, then that would not have been a waste of time. So ask questions, suggest solutions, just comment that is what the forum is for. See you again in the forum. :D;)

  11. By all means ask if you think there's a problem. It's always nicer to be able to respond that there isn't one, but from time to time the problems are genuine, and you never really know which is which. Happy to help, and I'm glad you learnt something new.

    I'll close now.
