i was just wondering what would be better to do above{the snowy area} or below?:confused::confused:

  2. personally i like them all, However if you want to access the hydro power you will have to buy all the plots along the top of the cliff in the snow area to activate it how you develop the playfield is then up to everyones personal plan, as everyone will have a different opinion.
Good luck with your game plan:):)

You are going to get more money from the mountain terrain overall, but as stated you'll want the hydroelectric dam ASAP. There are few permits for either side, so you can get a bit of both to fill easily.

Since you have to connect the hydro dam to the road to the main play field you will have to buy at least a few of the mountain as well as the snow fields to build the road to the dam. So you can experiment with both fields before you commit completely to one or the other. I also find that the decorations in the two fields are much more rewarding than in the other fields, so I have a lot of them in the mountain play field. :D

This might vary depending on plots bought but I just finally got the Hydro. Cost 580,000 CC's. Spent 1.5 million CC's this morning buying plots to get it. Worth it! Yay! :p:D

I have mentioned this numerous times, but have found getting the mountains at Level 25 rather superfluous. It was Geflin in another thread (of yours Melanie) that considered the Hydro availability as probably the main reason, but you need to buy all those top level plots to get to it. You cannot actually build anything up there until the Hunting Lodge unlocks at Level 32 (unless you fork out close to 1000 MM's for the Alpine Lodge). Just something else to consider. My advice (if you dont need the Hydro) is to concentrate on the Lower Level area - apart from being your only option below Level 32..... unless your happy to spend lots of $ on MM's :D

EDIT: You also get a Ski Hut at Level 31 that needs snowy plots - cant find anything below that Level to build :(

Just thought I'd point out....the grassy plots are needed for the Stone Terrace, Scandinavian House, Finca, Thatched Lodge that you unlock as you progress through Levels 40+. Always plan ahead, says I; each plot becomes more expensive as you buy them, and I paid dearly for my grassy plots. The Hydro dam is the biggest benefit of the mountains, so I bought the land to reach those first (to save CC's). The gray (mountain) plots are needed for the other buildings and the dairy farms...plus get you to the quarries (and you will need those to accumulate granite slabs for higher level buildings). As with everything else in this game, balance, patience, and good planning are the keys. If your main concern is dropping below 100% production due to power...get to that dam; your power levels will be peachy for quite awhile, leaving you free to concentrate your efforts elsewhere. Ultimately, which course to take is determined by what you want to achieve and which of those achievements have priority. Hope this helps. Happy gaming ;)

You are a wise owl. My current frustrations with the mountain region shine through. Plots are now at 670k up there so back to the coast and burbs for a while, until Levels open up a few more build options + upgrading :)
