Friends

I want to be able to go to my friends city to see it plz install that

 

I've moved this thread to Updates & Ideas as that seems a more appropriate place for it. I know it's been asked many times before, but no harm in trying again.

 

Nice idea. Can you change the thread Title to something like "visiting friends cities" ? Might get more comments

 

I thinks it's better to shut down the friends system completely.

Having read kras sandras posts over the past couple of days i don't think that she does want friends, all her posts seem to be exactly the opposite to what most are saying and not putting forward any ideas to improve the experience of those playing.

 

I also have read these posts, and occasionally Krassandra makes sense; most of the time however, she seems to be just being intentionally argumentative and contrary with no attempt to contribute positive ideas or comments. I agree she doesn't act like she wants friends. It occurs to me that if BP wanted the Friends function shut down they would have done that, or not made the feature to begin with. I support her right to freely speak her mind and have her own opinions; but the antisocial aspect does cast a gloom over this normally friendly forum. But to keep on track here...I think that the devs are likely working on things like the friends gifting function, and (perhaps) a way to view a friend's city. I suggest to anyone having friends who'd like to see each others' cities...use email and screenshots, which information can be exchanged via the existing friends message system to keep it private. Oh, lookie, a reason not to shut that feature down. Hmmmmmmmmmmm...

 

@Krassandra I will be honest. And Krassandra I'm sure you have thick enough skin to take it on board, but I used to find your posts annoying and irritating. As others have said, your posts generally provoke argument and are generally SOOOOO Negative... BUT, provided you keep within the forum rules, you can post what you like. Up to others to respond, or ignore etc. So anyway keep on posting your stuff and up to others on how they will react. Liven's the place up a bit.... just remember that black is NEVER black... always shades of grey

 

I also believed that Kassandra was purposely roaming for a fight. Andrew, Skippyroo, Geflin, guys have you not figured out that Kassandra says these things to get an emotional response from people. Take a position to the ultimate edge and extended to the extreme. A very great literary example of this was Johathan Swift "A modest proposal" suggesting in the 18th century dealing with the poor. (People thought the Hunger Games was original)

I think that the friends section should remain and it would be a nice addition to have the ability to visit friends and see the progress of there cities privately instead of via the Forum for public review.

 

I'm neither support nor oppose what "most are saying". I have my own opinion on any gameplay feature. Friendship system is IMHO useless at the moment.

Are you sure you "keep within the forum rules" discussing my personality in "Updates & Ideas pool" while I have a personal thread?

I don't deal with "black", "white" or "shades of grey". I like colors. Red Green Blue ...

I don't care of "emotional response". Gameplay improvements should be based on logic, not emotions. At the moment, new friends in your list give nothing except of emotions

@Krassandra... Honey, girl to girl, let's be honest. You have a sharp mind and some interesting insights, and it's entirely ok that you (often) disagree with others...because that alone doesn't mean you are wrong. Sometimes we women have to stir up the pot a bit. However, Mary Mary Miss Contrary is a cute nursery rhyme but a poor way to make friends. You could have a lot of friends here if you wanted, and that doesn't mean you have to agree with anyone else's opinions. But it does mean you can't act like a wet cat in a burlap sack (mad at everyone and everything); and you do come across that way. Maybe try and share some positive along with the negative? Kudos to you for having the courage to speak out...but speak out truth, not just opposition out of ornery disposition.

If I come to ideas discussion pool, I do this to express my opinion on ideas, not to "make friends".
If I come to Questions section, I do this to ask/answer questions, not to "make friends".
If I come to Speaker's corner, I do this to discuss these random thing, not to "make friends".
I think if you look for friends, you should visit "Friends" section (although I personally prefer to just switch to my favourite MMORPG)

I think that's senseless. If I'm satisfied with rent collector system, for example, why to say "hey, I like rent collector"? I just use it and enjoy the sound of dropping coins
Negative replies value much higher than positive because they usually describe some problem. "Update & Idea pool" implies that we're more or less disappointed by some part of the game and ask to "fix" it. Since "Friends" system is annoying, I ask to shut it down.

If you think I'm always against other people ideas, you completely miss my point.
I'm simply against game-ruining improvements regardless of what other users think. Unfortunately, the majority usually support that kind of improvements. Fortunately, developers don't play democracy and usually don't allow to ruin the game with intention to make it better...
We should remember that "dream-like" ideas have almost zero chance to be implemented
