    Hi everyone,
first I apologize if I placed this in wrong section of the forum. I am playing for about 2 weeks and this is what I have. Am I on the right direction? I seem to constantly rearranging my buildings and at the moment I am not even really sure what I am doing any more. I need some perspective.

I'd say you're not doing too bad. If you have the time to spare, you should definitely, definitely get you mills, farms and eventually brickyards upgraded as quickly as is feasible, as they are the key to survival (especially events) and they are more efficient at higher levels. The mills can be level three in a couple days making lumber. The farms will take longer, but making nothing but tomatoes will get you there the fastest and ensures you have PP for now, and you can sell excess for profit. Even being at only level 2 will help a lot now. Bricks are always in short supply, so the more you have & sooner, the better.

You will be shuffling things around a lot, especially at the beginning where your available space and buildings change a lot and you work around clay pits and such. Generally, you want to build out before up (more houses helps for events too), but it depends on your needs and goals. You will need to consolidate space by using more efficient power plants and upgrading commercials when it is affordable, but it's fairly cheap to get the veggie stand upgraded and you can easily fit most of your basic buildings under just one.

That's pretty much it. If you aren't sure of what you're doing, make some goals. Games like this usually require the player to make their own goals. The tasks on the left serve mostly as a guide and will stop eventually. Look at the Designer Depot and FAQ's for what seems attractive and decide how to build. You certainly don't have to upgrade everything to max, even manufacturing facilities, but without any goals the inherent repetitiveness of such a game will perhaps wear on you. There isn't much to tell in how to play, though it generally comes down to aesthetics, efficiency, or some balance of both.

The only advice I can think of is do all of the tasks you can. The tasks are designed to teach you all of the skills you need to build the best city you can. I like your city. Keep up the work.

Also try to do the events. Even if you do not complete them the itermediate stages can help your city grow.
