Academy Upgrade Idea

We all loved the new upgrade feature for commercial buildings right? Emergency buildings can be upgraded, as can City Hall. Why not create an upgrade for the Academy? For higher Level players this would certainly be a help because you have more positions to fill, and for beginners it would help them establish emergency services quicker. It would work thus: for each upgrade Level, you can train one additional specialist at the same time as the initial one. This would be easy to do with a menu exactly like the one you currently use to select specialists to respond to emergencies...just set up like the training screen. Should not the Academy be able to keep up with at least reasonably with the job field? At max upgrade you can employ 18 specialists, and at the rate they train it's hard to keep them renewed. So, lets hear everyone's thoughts and ideas?

 

This has been needed for so long. Especially since you have to wait for the training of people you may not even wish to use. Filling positions can take a long, long time.

 

How about upgrading the Academy and being able to send a candidate to be trained as a specific specialist instead of a random choice. Level one random, level two every third candidate can be selected specialty, level 3 candidate every other candidate can be selected specialty, level 4 all candidate can be selected for a specialty or random. Charge us additional time and expense for training.

 

That is a most excellent idea. Would love to see that included...but I would say Level one random, Level two one random one choice, Level three all can be choice (same number of Levels they give for PD/FD/HOSP). I see that as an arguable position for us to take because it matches the existing emergency departments and would allow training of one for each simultaneously (though of course you can hire them for any open position). Adding just a couple more might be easier programming wise?

 

Either way would be acceptable to me. I would love to see some improvement to the system. Now for a new thread when I get a free day residential improvements.
