Allow us to move some decorations to snow areas

I would very much like to move some of my "Christmassy" and "winter" themed decorations to the new mountain area, but most are not permitted there.

Even the decorations found IN that field.. the Mount Rushmore and the fountain thing cannot be moved up top, though they would look great up there.

This would be a minor programming change, but these items would look a lot better up there. I realize you are in the process of creating new decorations for those parts, but that is not the same as just being able to move the ones we have.

A small change like this, allowing more individualization and flexibility would be an easy way to make people happy.

And it would be nice if we could move on the snowy area buildings like the Athletes' Dorm and if we could move to the mountain area (more precisely, the snowy area) the Winter World Stadium and the Christmas Tree

 

I agree moving more would be nice, but I did not want to be "greedy". Moving the dorms and such would mean moving the commercial buildings that give bonuses as well. That would be more than a minor fix. If they can do it all, great, but just moving the decorations would be a difference.

Note.. I do plan to move my xmas buildings up in the "regular" area in front of the mountain area... that is, the snowy area is up top, then there is a mountain area (their name), then a regular area just before the switch to the main field.

 

We should just be able to put most things anywhere. Simple parameter change. The map screen and some promotional 'screen shots" have things where they can't be placed in the game. It's like false advertising. I want a lighthouse on the shore or in the water. Gravel road on regular land.

Some limitations I understand, but sometimes it's silly, or worse, illogical. But hey, why not have a grounded boat for a house?

 

I like the grounded boat as a house idea, but I suspect that idea will get buried in this one... you might post it separately?

 

I agree. Some decorations are very suited for the mountain/snowy area and I was disappointed when I couldn't move them there.

 

An expansion of some of the decorations into the new play areas would be a nice addition. Some are so perfectly matched to the alpine setting.
