axe in lumberjack quest

it seems to be really hard to get axes for this quest. Most of my buildings (lvl 9 to 17) only give one each, consistently. Wonder if this is intended.

 

what the residents deliver is purely random, generally though a building with a 6 hour rent cycle may give up more than 1 axe than a building with a 2 hour rent cycle, buildings with a rent cycle of 1 hour or less rarely give axes

yes, i'm aware of this but the drop rate in this event seems much lower than others. i have 7 6-hour cycle buidlings and none of them have given more than 1 axe during the last 2 rent collections. I only get 130 axes for the past 12 hours. This seems really odd to me since it's almost impossible to finish even the 4th stage of the quest.

 

if this were the case, dev should make this clear to the players. I started this event believing i could easily finish it. Now i'm basically stuck after wasting so much time and effort

 

That's tough and I know how you feel. I actually haven't attempted this one yet myself, since I'm not sure I could complete it either. I always check the event discussion threads in case someone has posted about how hard the event is, or if there is some strategy to completing it. Unfortunately, most of the comments are about how people want more/different rewards but sometimes you get some relevant information.
