Baffled and Bewildered.

Greetings Mayors,
I have a hindrance with the ability to upgrade several buildings in my City and am hoping there is a decent chap/chapette who can help. Despite searching through the Forum and FAQ sections,for many hours with great gusto and vigour,i am unable to discover how i can get an Art Gallery into my City. There doesn't appear to be one available to buy in the Designer Depot,nothing in any of the Booster Pack/Comet packs or Event awards,in fact a total absence of said Art Gallery entirely,which apart from being annoying has left me saddened,not only for myself,but also for the residents of buildings such as the Modern Cottage and Family Home who would (so i believe)be totally devastated upon hearing that their properties cannot be expanded,meaning no increasing the revenues and population. I know it exists,i have seen pictures of it,and have bought 4 paintings to place in it. The only place i am able to determine it may be possible to get it is in the Season 1 Mystery Buildings event that happened many months ago and if this is the case i would like to ask the powers that be to have a Season 1 Mystery Buildings event repeat in say, 3 days time. So if there is a kindly soul who can help with my No Art Gallery agony,it would be like the bestest Christmas ever for me. Also,i have just noticed,underneath the post i have just written before i submitted it,i was presented with the option of "starting a Poll". If i had have started a poll when posted would it then appear in this section of the Forum and if so would it be the correct section to post it ? Or would it automatically appear in another section due to the fact this is the General Questions section. I only ask as i have just read the severe "Penalty Points" section in the FAQ and would like to avoid being given naughty points. Regards,Sleepylee.

 

You have corrected deduced that the art gallery is a mystery building from the "season 1" group of mystery buildings. The mystery building events do, in fact, repeat. It seems to me that it ran just a week or so ago and it was the season 1 group of buildings that time. they alternate.

However, unfortunately, you may buy several mystery buildings the next time season 1 comes around and still not happen to get an art gallery. I have three buildings that I have at stage 2 because I also do not have an art gallery.

In the season 2 group, I have the flower garden, but not a flower store, so I still cannot fully service the two houses that I have that need flowers.

If you develop those residences, you will still benefit from the increased base rent (I think) as well as the increase in population (for sure).

 

This is correct.
I can add that the seasons as I remember it are quite short, something like 4-6? days.

 

Also, the most recent iteration of the Flea Market event offered Mystery Buildings as Stage 4 reward for Mayor Levels 15-35. I've only seen that type of event reward once in the 4-1/2 months I've been playing, so it may or may not be an ongoing prize.

I now have two Mystery Season 1 Historical Family Homes, but I can't remember where I got the other one; I definitely did not "buy" it.

 

It's been last two runs, got a cheap deco both times, but I think somebody mentioned getting good price out of it. I expect that to continue this way. It's season 1 mysteries given in events.

 

I believe it would start the poll in the section of the forum you had selected, and 'Speakers Corner' is perhaps a better place for it. General questions seems to be reserved for helping people with problems they are having, whereas Speakers Corner is more for 'shooting the breeze' or gathering opinion.

PS I have received 2 residences from my 2 mystery awards: a Modest Cottage and a Historical Family Home, they are happy enough without paintings.

 

Many thanks to you all for the helpful and informative solutions to my Art Gallery dilemma. I am grateful to be told my initial theory was correct,as being correct features very rarely in my existence. I shall wait with great eagerness for the return of "Mystery Buildings Season 1', and a chance to obtain the Art Gallery and brighten the life of the residents occupying the buildings needing it for an upgrade.

Thanks go out to you also "nervo82' for the advice regarding "Starting a Poll",and pleased to read that the residents of your Modest Cottage and Historical Family Home are "happy enough" to continue life without an Art Gallery. Sadly,my residents are a fussy bunch and believe that by paying their Taxes they should be entitled to an Art Gallery so enabling them to improve their buildings and increase their income. I have tried to appease them with the promise of locating a Beer Garden nearby,but alas this compromise has been refuted. I am however considering a visit to Speakers corner as you mentioned to start a Poll entitled "All Commercial Buildings (especially an Art Gallery) that are needed to upgrade residential properties should be for sale in the Designer Depot as it is a bit daft not to considering they are buildings that need time and resources to produce stuff that then could be included in a Weekly Event Task". HHhhmmm,maybe i could shorten that title a bit.
