Birthday event?

Is there a Birthday event schedule for this year and if so do you know the dates it will become available.

Who knows? Maybe it will be a surprise party.

 

I like surprise parties. What is going to be the theme for the party? I need to know so I can bake an appropriate cake.

The birthday event is usually held in August sometime, as yet we are not half way through the month, there is still time for the powers that be to slot the event in. I am like everyone else hopeful that it will be sooner than later.
Be assured as soon as we have some information the news will be posted on the official announcements

 

So I have to bake a cake with uncertainty factor. That is quite the challenge. To bad Dr. Werner Heisenberg is not available to help me.

 

I've said it before, I cannot understand why the birthday event from 2 years ago isn't just replayed every year. It was the undoubted highlight of my time ingame. 2014 was a pale comparison without the champagne bottles, having the chance to win previous event houses* is something every player would appreciate.

* the forum has moved since 2013 and I can't find any lists of what people won but I can recall the posts taking a full screen. I reckon I got 2 rustic villas, 3 or 4 haunted villas and a spare fondant palace as well as rafts of other permits, decos and material.

So you all can check them out. Amazing how far the game has come in just two years. The events were started September 8, 2013 and August 8, 2014. Interesting I wonder when was the actual birthday?

 

"Treasure Hunt" was just added to the calendar !!

 

You know, they said they couldn't dedicate the server space, which never really struck me as a good reason. I can't see how such a small game can need so much space or how such a large company couldn't afford it. So with the announcement of upgrading the servers, we should be good, right? But I was able to log in just fine when there was supposed to be maintenance, so unfortunately, I even question if that was done, or if it was even supposed to be for this game. Maybe it was faster than expected.

I've said it before, but I missed the first birthday, having started playing just after it was available, so I really would have liked the champagne so I could get some old houses at least, especially since they changed some of them.

If we ever get to trade permits, remember me (if there is anyone left with them).

Dunno for sure. Looks like it entered global open beta the 7th of August, 2012 but it was around before that, and RamaCity looked very similar already. Belated is better than nothing, in any case. I've seen a few comments from players that basically state they are hinging on this event happening or not and what they do with it to determine if they even want to continue playing, or perhaps, at least seeing how the end of the year plays out.

I get if they are tied-up or whatever, but they could put some effort into something this special, including keeping the players informed of something that is so anticipated and now overdue. Maybe the projected losses are insignificant, but how they've been managing things is still going to leave a bad taste about the company for some. Here they could really start to turn it around.

Funny, I thought something might happen as soon as I posted. Oh well, keeping us in the dark is still questionable. Was wondering about them tinkering, since I had a ton of buildings disappearing last night as well.

Ah, well that certainly isn't quite what I was expecting.

Well, it's visible in the plaza, but can't be started yet. Some days ago the mods of the French board confirmed there would be an event, but no date was yet available. Why this information can't be distributed equally and players have to be kept hanging by a thread is beyond me.

 

Looks Like you let the cat out of the bag Arsuru and it has escaped, can you please organise a search party as we need it back real quick

 

No can do. Cats shouldn't be kept in bags anyway. I'm all for surprises, but when the mood is as it is… Well, one must know when not to withhold information.

And to be sure, I'm not blaming mods here. Looks like it has been largely quiet on any given board about the matter. Even on the French board it wasn't an actual announcement, rather a post in a similar thread.

 

Well, we have finally gotten word about it. Arsuru I agree with you that information should be more forth coming. But we do have a sign that there are things a brewing.

As for letting the cat out of the bag. Elsa was "Born Free" and look what happened to Cecil. Get that kitty back on the preserve quick
