Can't load game???

I've dumped caches, rebooted, checked internet speed (9.19mbps), and still can't get game loaded. Does resetting my data erase my progress so far? This is very frustrating. I see a lot of these posts. Internet speed is definitely not the case with me.

 

Chasmic So sorry to hear about your difficulties. It looks like you did the standard procedures. To answer your question no resetting your data does not erase the progress so far. But what it does is reset the game to the original configuration. What you do lose is the accumulation of excess Mood and Power levels. When you place the Residential Improvements (RI) even when the RI expires the mood and poser level enhancement stays. So when the game is reset it goes back to what level you have on the "board" at that time. Generally that means a noticable loss of level. This can effect the production of products and population levels.

Now to your comment about reading a lot of these posts. There are a lot of them, back in the bad old days this was a problem of serious concern. It still occurs, sad to say, but not nearly as often as in the past. The other thing is that when a player can not log in, it is quite devestating to those involved.

If nothing else works I would recommend that you have us reset your game. The choice is yours. Just let us know your decision by posting a request here and we will get it done.

I'm not interested in this game anymore. Deleting my data does not solve the problem, and does not ensure that it won't happen again. Why should I suffer any loss? This is a problem with your game and it is not acceptable. Please do let me know if and when you get it fixed. Thanks.

As requested I have reset your data, we are unable to delete data a that is in game protected, however there maybe a variation in your resources which is un avoidable.
There can be a multitude of reasons that you have loading problems clearing your cache and cookies and browser are just a couple of things that your trouble shooting can do, that makes our job so much easier to find your problem
Can you advise us if your problem is now resolved

This is not my problem!!! It is your problem!!! You are ripping me off for the time I have invested in this game. Resetting my data got the birds to sing. The question you should be asking is, what is it about your data handling that causes this problem! Why is resetting the data a bandaid solution?! It didn't work in my case!!! Now my data is gone and I'm no further ahead. I didn't request a reset but you did it anyway! I can see that I am approaching this problem from the wrong end. I'm going to your advertisers to see if they can motivate you to fix this problem. I was going to put some money in my credit card so I could buy some in game funds, but that's not going to happen now!

 

Chasmic, I have checked your account and able to log into it, it seems your log in problems are resolved, also all your data and resources are all still in your account so you have not lost anything. This is a free gamesome people decide not to buy MM and others do, that is completely your choice.
Pease remember that the moderators here are all volenteers and we do out utmost to fix your problems, at least you have singing birds to amuse you.

@Chasmic I can't say RC has no problems, but some seem to get affected more than others. Often, people say they don't have the problem with other games. I've almost never had problems, and what I have had I could usually fix myself. Granted, the 'Flash cache', aka, 'Flash cookie', aka, LSO problem should probably be able to be overridden by the game as far as I can tell, and no, the user shouldn't need to be responsible, but clearing it almost always resolves everything.

Unfortunately, a lot of people don't clear the Flash cache, but the browser cache, which is totally unrelated. Can't tell what you did, or if you are aware of the difference, but a lot of people aren't, which also explains the high amount of posts regarding it not working. People tend to speak more when there is a problem rather than not as well, skewing the results. There are less now, actually. Updating Flash is usually automatic for most, but you might want to check that. If it's a Flash problem, you can almost always verify by using another browser, or better, a private browsing session. That can help sometimes.

To be fair, yes, it can appear that you accepted a reset in context, and you don't seem to have comprehended that it does not erase your data. It forces values to refresh, and due to a bug in mood/energy levels and improvements/upgrades, they may drop (to their true value), putting you below the maximum threshold. That's about it. I agree that it might be a band-aid solution that needs to be employed too frequently, but RC is in much better shape than it used to be, and as far as we are told, there is work being done. I'm fairly certain clearing your Flash cache properly fixes many of the problems resetting does, from what I've seen others asking for a reset for, so it may not even need to be done as often as it is.

Your connection speed really means little here. If your bandwidth is bottlenecked for any reason, including the network traffic of your ISP, you may have a connection problem. Overloading your RAM, CPU and/or GPU won't help either. That the moderators can get into your game would strongly suggest that it's your problem, despite the problems RC does have. That others don't have problems also suggests this. Ads might work better because they probably are not using Flash anymore, but HTML5. The code is probably unrelated regardless. They used to work a lot less, and still have problems as well.

RC has some problems, sure, like a lot of games. There are often some people that can't get a given game to run, and it's usually their fault, especially on PCs where things can vary so much. You might have a legitimate problem, but it's hard to tell, and apparently many, if not the vast majority, don't. Being irate, indignant and assuredly self-vindicating probably isn't going to help you either. You can't blame other people for your own willing use of your own time, particularly for self-serving entertainment. Online games are often especially ephemeral by nature, compared to other distractions. Many books, movies, et cetera, are a waste of time, but you'll be hard-pressed to get your money back and no sane author or director would take responsibility for your subjective loss. Not to absolve RC entirely of possible problems, but your reaction seems unwarranted.
