  1. To make Rising Cities an even more realistic game, there should be changes in the season. As an example, in November there could be a little snow. By january there could be a lot of snow. The branches on the trees could come off. Then when spring comes there could be some flowers in the grass. Summer is normal. In Fall the leaves on some trees like the oak tree can turn colors.
But the coast should remain the same because it is the coast. Maybe just a little snow there or make the water freeze. Either one is cool with me.
When the mountain playfield comes out there could be blizzards and avalanches.
The clouds should move also. Make them turn gray and rain would be cool.
In conclusion, Rising Cities is gradually getting more realistic. I hope this idea could affect the game.

You don't live in Australia then, I take it?

  3. Yeah, it would have to be tailored differently for different areas, probably based on IP address. But I never liked these forced changes, so they would have to be optional. :)

    IP-related sounds awfully troublesome.
Wouldn't it be simplier to allow the user whichever background he/she/it feels like?

The 2 months/year of the BP Zoo game (zoomumba, try it at your peril) where they replace grass with snow renders it almost unvisitable, from an eyeball point of view, far too bright.

    Be happy with green, please.

If you have purchased the backgrounds, Skyrama lets you lets you change it as and when you please. If you want snow in June, go for it. If you want sunshine at Christmas, you can do that too
