  1. Since we rarely get any feedback about our ideas I thought it wouldn't hurt to remind this one from old forum.

Looking at Top 100 this morning and the top Russian girl nearing our current top Mayor level gave me this crazy idea:

How about level 9 and 10 for City Hall? Or maybe even levels 11 and 12. For these sprinters to have something to invest their money and resources to. With current upgrade trends the amounts would be just insane. [IMG] I wonder what arts would devs come up with for these new levels as CH is a bit too much monumental already.

In reality we need 25 more levels and 3rd 48 plots expansion soon, just this CH idea looked fancier at the moment. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Anyway, I guess I'm looking too far into the future .......... lol

  2. the way the game is going we need added levels on all counts sooner than later.;):):)
and another play field or what maybe better is to expand the 2 we have say 24
    plots in each

    mhhmm new city halls mhhm,
i think i like the idea.
... i keep thinking about the plots.. its ok to switch from island to city but its not always fun, switching between 3-4 pf might not be so cool
... on the other side, increasing the main pf like it was done before might lag out the city if it has to many things, its already hard to move around...
this thing needs to be thought better

  4. Good point and I'm quite aware of the issue. And rather then render current fields non-playable by making them bigger I would go for the hassle of switching between 4 playfields although it is rather slow also and although even now I sometimes play just one field when short of time.

  5. i am a old fart so not up with all this tech jargon, what you are saying is the bigger the playfield the more problems we are likely to have?

I know this has probably been discussed/suggested before and i know it would be problematic and probably involve quite a lot of work on the devs part but i'd like to see the playing fields/worlds self sustained, ie: electric, moods etc

  7. It's basic things like RAM, CPU, video card and server speed demand which grow whenever you make the playfield bigger, add more animations etc. that generaly translate to more data being used, transmitted and processed. Programming language and purity of code all influence this too. At some point it might prevent old computer users from playing due to game slow responsiveness. This is probably a bit more complex but for detailed specifics you would need to ask an expert coder.

Just think of it like drawing on a sketch pad. The more detail, the larger the pad, the longer it takes to draw something. Same with the screen. Now, add in animated cars, motorcycles, little people, it takes even longer to draw. So, the more stuff you have, the larger the playfield, the more time it takes and the slower it runs.

It would get to the point where you would move the mouse and it would take upwards of 30 seconds for the new position to highlight. Oh, we're already there aren't we?

I agree making the data demands greater on our computers and the servers is an issue. To us old timers who remember the bad old days when we were excited with dial up modems and AOL. Press a button and wait. So it is a matter of balance between speed and quality we need. As the game gets more complex and larger we will have to have like a real mayor systems in place to manage the details of running our cities. In real life these are called Civil Servants, Staff, Aides, etc. In the game they would have to be forms of automation. We have a few forms primitive forms now best example is the rent collector option. We would need more options like this so we could run our cities efficiently.
