    Hello,

I really am not ready to develop my mountain playfield, but would like to get wired into the dam's electric production so I do not have to build yet another coal or hydro plant. I was curious wha tyou have to do to activate it? Purchase the land above or below it? Either? Both?

    Thanks!

  2. Hello.

You need to purchase the land above it (the one with snow) and then connect the dam with a road.

you need to buy all of the plots between the access road and the upper side (snow side) of the dam. Build a road connecting access road from the main play field to the connector from the stone field and the snow field. Then build a snow road to the dam. Good luck and have fun.

  6. Does anyone have the numbers for the CC cost of buying all those plots?

You need 7 or 8 plots - and number 11 or 12 plots cost CC 390.000 or MM 604 - cann't remember if you get the road and the first upper-plot for one price.

You do not get the upper plot of land, in the snow field, with the road. :( So it is nine plots of land needed minimum three rocky area, the plot with the connector road and five in the snow field. You do not get the connector road with the purchase of the adjacent plot of land. :(:( So to do the math for you. Nine plots equals 1,119,000 cc's or 2584 MM's. assuming you build directly to the top of the dam.

This of course is the minimum and you can learn from our mistakes. Many of us when the Mountain Play field first came out did not know that we had to build the road to the upper side of the dam bought the plots to the lower side first. Now the Quarries are reached from the lower side so it was not a total loss. :) Good luck and good gaming.

  10. Thanks for the info and the link. A bit beyond my resources at the moment, but a good goal to aim for.

you do not have to buy all of the plots at once and you can build on them as you go.

  12. Not quite nine. You already get the first plot for free. The next one is the one with road (the serpentine, so you get two plots at the price of one). After that, there are five more. So is a total of 6 plots = 519.000 CC / 1.679 MM

Thanks for the correction I was working from memory and anyone who depends on that from me is in trouble. :) Or would you believe I was giving a worse case scenario.
