Dry celebration?

Is there really no Champagne and booster packs on this Birthday Event?

 

From the Dutch board:

Due to the technical problems, we must unfortunately do this year without champagne bottles, but again with nice rewards. So play all along!

 

Now I'm thinking about what word I could use instead of 4 letter F word, as this is the only word, though inappropriet, that seems to be adequate for this situation ........ lol.

Utterly rediculous. Why don't they just wait with the event untill they fix the issue? Or would it take till the next "celebration"?

I was hoping that I would enjoy it.

Now? Not so much.

Honestly? I don't think many Mayors will as this is such an obvious spoiler and blatant neglect of players.

 

Are it really impossible to rehire someone from the team that made the game.
Then he can train those practcants how a game works and how to program.

And of course we get this info less then a day before start. Is wall of silence the only thing those clowns can keep good?

 

I'd love to hear exactly what these technical problems are, because I can't even imagine why it's legitimately not possible. Especially considering that this event has probably been planned since at least the last time, so there has been all the time to prepare and test. I don't think people would mind terribly if it were delayed a bit.

I just missed this event when I started playing a year ago so I was kinda looking forward to it, but that champagne was 98% of the reason to do it since I was hoping for more of the special buildings and those that weren't available this year like the Haunted Manor.

 

At least forums are fun again. What do you say?

Are they doing their best?
