Two of my medical emergency rookies have responded to over 100 emergencies EACH without upgrading to any specialty. (I have been making sure to use the same ones over and over, both for "rookie" calls and specialities I don't have)

To contrast, the police have upgraded twice each. Fire upgraded once, when I was not yet worried. However, fire has been fully upgraded up until a couple of days ago. (4 contamination in a row, then) I only added a rookie yesterday.

Also, as long as I am posting, each of the centers seems to be "stuck" on one specialty type. I have 3 of the contamination, detective and scientist specialties.
Also, they all started out "maxed" with skill points... max you can buy, plus at least one further education box upgrade. I realize that these streaks can absolutely happen randomly, but together with the other issue, it is unusual enough to make me ask if that indicates a problem (or is part of the same one)

I also experienced a long dry spell. I had three level 7 rookies (luckily, one just received training upon hitting level 8).
Seems to me that the system moves slower in the past weeks -- but three cases are not really a valid sample. Anyone else noticed this, too?

I thought that it might be a general slow piece at first, but the police are upgrading, its only the medical personnel that are not. I got 3 scientists in a row, then no further upgrades.

The upgrade I had was also at the police. Still, even together, this could be coincidental.

I also am noticing this issue for me it is the police department that does not want to give me new specialist. I will just have to be patient.

Your forgot to provide your ID number and there are thousands of mom's in the system so a name search will give me a choice of thousand to guess at which one is you.

That aside We have all had specialists that take a long time to level up (100 seems like a very long time) and after 60 or 70 events the specialist is usually too expensive to rehire anyway.

If you wish I will take a look at your logs if you post your ID number.

I don't actually know my ID number or where to find it. My user name, however, should be unique. Lot's of moms, but not the exact name, I don't think?

Per the "too expensive", I have found it cost effective to train mine maximally -- to the 5000, then use education packs to up it a bit more when I can. Then I will automatically add time to 15000 credits. I may or may not renew them after that if they have a specialty I think I need. Anyway, that is just my opinion, just puzzled why you would say automatically that they get "too expensive" to upgrade?
That is why I know it has been over 100 events.

  8. your id is next to your username on top right corner of game screen when it is not in full screen mode :)

The game ID is the number that shows up when you log into the game near your user like this:

The most I have paid for renew is 75 000 and that's not the max. So it is safe to say that sooner or later it will bee to expensive. Maybe not at 60-70 or even at 100 but it will.
Each successful event give 8xp and failed one give 4xp in faq you can see how much you need for each level if you like.

Edit: dang skippyroo you to fast for me :)

It also helps to read the id number if you high light the number with your cursor like you are going to copy it and read it. The white lettering is hard to distinguish for us old fossils.

    First, Here is my ID.

Second, (per the aside) I misunderstood on the 75K upgrade.
When I meant "max", I meant that I take them up as high as I can in the academy using education points, then I try to go up 1-2 more levels with the xpacks. When I hire them, I try to renew them up to the 15,000 education credit level. I will sometimes go higher for specialities. A couple of my health rookies came out of the academy with quite a few extra added contract events (because of the skills), so that they had well over 100 events available. I just wound up taking one down to zero and deleting it without getting any specialty. Another is close.

I also wondered if the fact that just prior, I got 3-4 of one speciality in a row was somehow related, maybe some kind of hang up glitch? (just a guess.. no idea if that even makes sense)

I am really sorry but I am not sure what it is you are asking, my first answer related to the contract renewals which occur when the specialist gets down to zero.
Each time you renew the contract the cost is higher and at 100 renewals the cost is usually prohibitive and you just sack him or her and start again.

If you are asking about the specialist leveling up and getting additional skills this can take a long time it is random. Whilst it is influenced by the specialists starting grade in some respects it is still a luck thing.

OK, guess 2 things got mixed up.

My question/issue was regarding specialists. I had more than one medical specialist that went through over 100 events, without upgrading. I realize this is random and therefore even such anomolies are possible, but it did seem strange, particularly when the other emergency personnel did not work the same way.

Per the 100 renewal bit, that was just a surprise over what you said, though it looks like I misunderstood. I guess I only renew a few times. I thought you were saying that you only renew them after 100 events, not 100 renewals. Right now, I upgrade them until the 15,000 credit cost, occasionally more if I have a really good specialist (with, say 15 bonus events with each renewal or such) or one I think I will need.

Anyway, thanks for your time. My last medical rookie finally did specialize.

At last we are both on the same page, please forgive me I do try but sometimes my mind works in different directions.
Yes I meant renewals and I should have said that from the start.

Anyway thanks so much for your patience and I am very happy the rookie came good.

    Best Regards Lee
