  1. I'm trying to complete the Rock Event but from the looks of things, that's not going to happen. Before I started the event, it told me that I had four (4) days. When I started the event, I only had two (2). Within those two days, I'm supposed to complete 20 tasks, each of which could/will take up to 20 hours to complete. For example, I'm working on the pretzel task which requires 400 pretzel. My little bread factory can only make 80 at a time at 4 hours a cycle. That means I would have to complete 5 cycles (a total of 20 hours) to complete the task. That's one day gone already. That leaves me with one (1) day to complete the remaining six tasks, which is impossible. I think this is too much and unfair. Many of us players have jobs and families to tend to and don't have 20 hours/day to devote to the game. That would be nice but it's not practical.

That said, can the quantity requirements be reduced significantly so that we are able to realistically complete the tasks/events or allow more time to complete tasks/events?

    Thanks!

Many players realistically complete the events the way they are, including the current Rock Event.

However, it's essential to plan ahead and have upgraded production facilities. Have a look at all existing events, they circulate regularly. Some are more suited for beginners than others.

  3. I think one of the things throwing me off is the number of days to complete an event. Before starting, I had 4 days. When I hit the start button, somehow I ended up with only two. Maybe I'm missing something.

There are two different time frames: One time frame within which the event can be started (usually 5 days), and one time frame within which the event needs to be finished once it has been started (usually 3 days). So whenever you start an event during those 5 days, the moment you click, the timer starts counting down from exactly 72 hours (3 days).

One of the functions of the events is to encourage the mayors to upgrade and expand their production facilities. That is why they are designed to challenge the mayors. Not every mayor or city is ready to complete every challenge. Learn from your experience and upgrade and or add to your bakeries before the next round. If you think the Rock Festival is tough wait until you see the Biker Week Event It is a real challenge.

They had a working timer before but replaced it with this junk, I assume to make it harder to plan events for new players.
When it say 2 days its really more then 2 days and there is no way to know how much more. In other words you have to keep track of the time your self.
When its 48h left it switch to the old useful timer.

  7. In response to the original post:
    1) as others have pointed out, there are two timers, one for how long you have to start the event, and another how long the event lasts. This is normally detailed in the OA as well.
    2) there are only 5 stages to complete for the Rock Event - I'm not sure where your 7 comes from. These are detailed in the event FAQ, which is also linked from the OA.

  8. Well, I don't think I'll be doing the events anymore. Thanks for the feedback everyone.
