Events calendar improvement

The idea of letting players know about upcoming event's in advance is great. Thumbs up for that. (btw. shall we get that "thumbs up" smilie some time?)

But as the current form is not very readable let me suggest some improvements straight away.

• Regular 3 days events and short 2 days events are each of very different type and could be marked with different colour in the calendar to distinguish them from each other.
• Or even better, every event could have a different colour to make it easy to clearly see the start and the finish of the event.
• Better yet, if technically possible, instead of having 6 boxes say for every day from Tuesday to Sunday for one event, why not have just a box for Tuesday and Sunday connected by a line between them through Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday to make it even more graphical and readable. Well, I know, the current form emphasises the current date. But above might look a lot better for planning.
  
• The best: combine all those 3 suggestion together in one smart looking scheme which tells you at one glance what is going on without laborious reading each box separatelly.

Further suggestions:

• Since description "Weekly Event" repeats all the time and doesn't fit in one line and carries no additional info, just makes the calendar even more bulky, why not shorten it some way to fit it on one line. Suggestions: just "weekly" or just "event" or any abreviation. Needs to be tried and tested to find something which looks good, not silly.
• Or maybe even better, why not leave it out completelly, saving one more line, as colour of background would already define that it is a "weekly event", making it all just "light" and all the more easy to read at a glance.

Arrrrrrghhhhhhh and don't tell me the system doesn't allow any of the above
That would be really disappointing.

 

Nortoncommander great suggestions. RC great job getting us the calender but do not let it remain dormant keep making improvements and developments. Could we get the next months calender before the first of the month, maybe by the twentieth or twenty fifth at the latest. As this will help in planning those early events.
