this is a good idea but im not voting because your vote system is too black and white maybe run normal length events most of the time but say do one super length event once a month this will be the best way to go forward because it should please you as well as other people who might not want longer events(definately not me)

I agree with this idea but the super length ones would have to require more or something like that otherwise it wouldn't work as well as the current system. It should maybe have six stages or require ten more products or something. (I agree with longer events but would like slightly more to do in return for more time.

 

Trying to figure out what the reason for longer events would be. So far I haven't seen any. Any inspiration?

What about doing bigger events once a month (might be too commonplace then) instead of just at certain times of the year? It would however have to be more challenging in return for the extra time.

 

This RC thing is one long event ........

 

The standard events are long enough.
But I would like to more of the longer "special" events - Winterfest for example. Once a month would be about right.
The prizes must be worth the extra effort though.

events are good ways to get money and prizes

I like the "Special" Events which are longer and more layered. They also have a more varied reward experience. Not the same prizes repeated every fourth or fifth time. Variety keeps us all interested. So yes to a mixture of long and short events.

That is possible solution, but the events become predictable and expected. New and different keeps the interest level up. I believe a balance needs to be maintained between the long and short, new and old, radical and steady.
