Have read that you use granite to build houses with. but how?
Where can I read about it?

  2. Granite is used in the upgrade of various of the later houses, eg Tower Block, and also in the build of some of the mountain and snow based houses. See the Residential Buildings FAQ for more details.

You can get granite from breaking boulders on new areas, and from the quarries in the mountain playfield.

I would add that granite is not required to build until you are at a fairly high Level (such as buildings that go in the new Mountain area, which unlocks around like Level 25 I think). By then, you usually will have accumulated plenty of granite in your warehouse.

You also need granite slabs to upgrade your city hall starting at level 6 upgrade. This was the first use of Granite Slabs I used. Just store it in the warehouse till you need it or you can sell some in the market place. Not a big money maker because as Geflin says most players have more than they can use. I would make sure to keep a decent supply on hand if you go the selling way though. Good luck.

  5. billyjim, how many granite slabs do you need to upgrade city hall at level 6? thanks
