I used to just keep all my employees no matter what. Then extending the contracts got more and more expensive. I started firing some and training more and hiring them. Now, I found out when you do that, you might not always have all positions filled. For instance, I don't have a medic, even though the hospital has all the employees it is allowed. So, I'm not quite sure what to do. What do you think is the better option? Training new employees? That also takes Education Points and Vitamin x if you want to train them to the full extent. Or should I, after I get all the positions I want covered, just renew their contract no matter how expensive it gets?

  2. Let me tell you what I was doing up to now. I got everyone I had trained. I reached them to level 7 but I did not get what I wanted. (all specialties).
Now I've trained some to the top top level, and I've been hired. I expect them to go up to level 6 or 7 and maybe change their specialty.
Meanwhile, I win better and more medals in every incident.

So, like I have five scientist for the hospital - do they not change from one specialty to another in time? I should fire some of these so I get other employees that may become something else?

Btw, I am SO glad you finally posted something - I have seen you liking a lot of my posts and have tried to get to your profile to (hopefully) leave you a message! I've been wanting to ask you if your avatar is a picture of a little garden that you made yourself? It is just SO cute!!! :D

  5. Hello! ..truelinor,
I still have not understood exactly how the system works with the specialties, I expect to see with the rise of experts' level if they will change their specialty and will get the other ones that I miss. Once I have something new I will inform you.
Ha, ha,:) no I did not build it, I found the picture and I loved it a lot.
Have a beautiful day, greetings from Greece!!!
(p.s. I dont knowI how it works the messaging system, I'm very young in the game just started last October)

    Hello! .. Paradijs or Michelle.
as you ascend levels, you will build larger buildings with workers (residents) and you will earn more. Τry to participate in the events and win anything you can at any time
    Greetings to you too

Thanks Lila-Skilaki! I have been playing quite a while, but I don't consider myself an expert in the least! I just enjoy playing and learning better ways to play, which is why I started this thread. It looks like someone added to your post! How about that?!

I like your avatar too - I've been watching videos on Youtube about mini gardens lately! I just love them - I would like to make one myself, but I haven't yet.

Greetings to you from North Carolina, USA! :D

OK, getting back on topic - I just renewed a contract for Jessica, my one and only Engineer. I had to pay 300,000 ! Which is way more than I wanted to, but since she was the only Engineer, I didn't know what else to do. Any suggestions? I didn't want the Firehouse to be like the Hospital and have 5 of one type of specialty.

I guess what I need to know is, will the employees change as time goes by to different specialties? I know they go from Rookie to a specialty, but will one of my 5 scientist ever change to a Medic, which I desperately need? Or should I fire one and then hope I get a Medic with the next person I hire?

No once an emergency worker becomes a specialist then they stay that specialty. I would consider firing a couple of medics and start over. I would only do one at a time as you can only train one in the academy.

    OK, that helps a lot!

I need Medics - I have 5 Scientists! LOL I will fire one of them just as soon as I have someone else trained.

I am slowly but surely housing more students to get more Education Points. Somehow I have racked up a lot of Production Points but can't get enough Education Points! Well, I did have to spend 300,000 at once for Jessica, my one and only Engineer. I don't dare fire her - I may not get another one!

Hello! I am also very confused about the emergency staff....I have only played for a couple of days, and love the game :)
I was hoping that in time I would understand more about this problem with the emergency, so I got disappointed when I see long time players also struggels with the same problem....:( Maybe a little more info about this would be nice? o_O Also, I wonder if it has any effect if I dont solve all emergency calls, some of them have only 10 % chance to be succesfull? Greetings from Norway!

DagnyKr - Welcome to the forum and the game. We are here to try and answer your questions. For more information about the Emergency System, check out the FAQ at these links:

There is no serious penalty for not responding to an emergency. Mostly you do not receive rent or production from the property until the emergency is cleared. But sending your specialist does gain them experience even if the emergency is not completed successfully.

Any additional questions please ask. Just start a new thread with your question, rather than hijacking another thread.

    Have fun building your city.

Oh, you can't go by me, DagnyKr! I started to play a long time ago, but then quit for almost five years - so I have not been playing as much as it seems. Also, I usually just play for fun and don't pay much attention to what I am doing and then after a while realize that, hey, maybe I should try to figure this out. lol

I do hope you enjoy the game. You know you can also put the whole Emergency system "on hold" too. I did that for quite a while when I got discouraged about not being able to answer them all. So there is that option. ;)
