    I'm Anna.
I play RC since Spring 2013.
I have 2 cities, 2 police stations, 4 policeman and 10000 excess donuts (so the cops are too fat to catch anyone) :)
I play RC because it's the best online strategy I have ever seen. It's trivial enough to give fun but difficult enough to offer some challenges. In other words, "easy to learn, hard to master".
I don't rush for XP, LVL, CC and so on. For me, RC is rather an old alarm clock I can disassemble, investigate and assemble again. In other words, Bartle Test would say I'm Explorer.
    If you wanna say/ask/whisper something:
    *to me
    *about me
    *against me
and so on, don't fill Speaker's Corner by off-topic post.
Come here - I don't bite (unless you have you pockets full of Tofu Dogs)

    Hi Anna,
I enjoy a lot of what you have to say in the forum and want you to keep on posting. You have a different view point than mine. Which is great and we need all the variety we can get in the Forum. Thanks for keeping me from getting sloppy. Glad you came back.

As always, I must agree with Sir Cat. Differing opinions need not be a bar to neighborly friendship. Please do feel welcome in the forum, Anna:). I don't always disagree with what you say, and we do need the variety and the intellect here. Sorry if we got off on the wrong wing....umm, I mean foot.;)

That's not just point of view.
That's my manner to investigate every single element of game, its world and mechanics.
Which, naturally, gives me slightly different info than common player has.
    Hence the "opinion" :D

Which is something I value. I read all of your post with great interest. I am less interested in the mechanics involved. But, that is why I love the game. We both find value in the game.

Mechincs is not so interesting itself, but when you discover another unobvious trick giving you more money, mood and other benefits, it's always so-o-o funny

I like "black" boxes, put something in one side, get something different out the other. I do not really want to know what is going on inside the box. That is me, I am built that way.

This works only until you feel the black box doesn't give you what you deserve. You have tree choices then: to run away in tears; to ask black box engineer to fix it (e.g. make it more profitable for you); to simply open the box, get to know how it works and get out all the possible. I'm all for latter choice :D

Why not do all of the above: Be Monty Python and "Run away and Hide", then be Oliver Twist "Please, Sir may I have some more, finally be Tony Stark "Now that is interesting". :p

Well, if you investigate the black box properly, you do all the above.

When the game is mouse-clicker, the box is just a set of numbers.
When you plan the city, the box has shelves and racks.
When you're into aesthetic phase, you start to decorate the box too - place a ribbon or something.

The box is "game in the game" ;)

Exactly, the game is the black box or is that orange now. I keep forgetting.
