lumberjack challenge with no bakery or brick shop

I just started playing and am at level 10. I cannot build a bakery yet, and even if I could I do not have enough money or a brick shop to get bricks to build bakery. How am I supposed to complete the powerbars part of the challenge? There are none in the market place. Why did it tell me to start a challenge that I cannot complete? I feel like I just wasted all my production points and materials on this event to get up to this level and now I can't move on. Do I have to start my game over now?

At your level it is probably best not to complete the event, in the early stages of this game events can be a real challenge to complete it is more beneficial to build your farms and mills etc and upgrade them all. how ever you can do part of an event to get the rewards that you need thee is no penalty for not completing any event.
The event will time out after 72 hours and the game will continue, as you grow your city there is a tutorial that asks you to complete certain quests these do not have to be done when they appear plan you city and complete these quest when you are comfortable in doing so.
