I would grow barley more if it cost more production points. Let me explain: Because it ties up farm production for 10.5 hours and only costs 20pp(level 2) I don't produce it much. I have over 1.1 million production points and barley takes so few that I produce other crops instead. A level 2 farm produces tomatoes for 30 pp and only takes 20 minutes and then potatoes for 270 pp in 3.5 hours. I want to use up production points because I have too many.

I'm concentrating all my building on mountain and the coast as at least I'll be able to supply their needs for the foreseeable future.

I personally don't even use needs fulfillment at all anymore except to finish masteries. I have enough dorm rooms and tenements and other PP and EP buildings where I don't even use the fulfillment any more. I find my current buildings are more than enough to keep my PP and EP stable. It also allows me to sell items in the market or to stockpile for future use in case they do make several hard quests with unique items (such as making a quest house type building with lots of quests to start). I figure once i have over 100k of each type of farm product, beer product, and bakery product I'll be sitting pretty for any type of future needs for my city. Of course trying to stock up building products is a complete failure with all the buildings i get every week from quests alone. I'm also trying to get fishery, ranch and dairy products beyond 50k each too just in case they pull a farmerama type quest style here in rising cities. I would remark that all products besides tomatoes are gotten by me from using my current industry and not the market. I buy the tomatoes because I am too impatient to wait 20 minutes for tomatoes.
