Miniclip announcement - 'we are working on it'.

  1. For those who use miniclip to access Rising Cities I have just noticed they have an announcement saying that Rising Cities is unavailable because 'we' are working on it. I was wondering who put up this announcement but RC hasn't been working on Miniclip now for about 2 weeks. There was one announcement on the forum here but nothing since. I was able to access RC through Bigpoint.com but I have had to re-start the game which is frustrating. Since the Bigpoint site is working now, I assume that means Bigpoint are not seeing any problems. Does this mean that miniclip is the problem? I was able to play my miniclip account on Wednesday for a few hours but then it all stopped working again. The only thing I seem to hear on the forum is that it is a user problem. The 'vodafone/arcor' announcement doesn't make much sense to me. What function could vodafone have in working an online game. If they do I can't see them being very interested in solving the issue.

    To conclude for those having the same problems loading RC - try bigpoint.com. You have to create an account first with id.net. If there was a way to use my old id with bigpoint.com that would be ideal but I can't figure it out.

  3. Hi ImbruglioRX,
    It's always best to access the game from www.risingcities.com. You shouldn't need to create an account via any other website. If you have an account linked to miniclip, then it might be possible to migrate it to the RC server, but I'd need your username and, preferably, ID and I can see what can be done.
     
  4. It is probably too complicated to merge the accounts. I will wait to see what happens with miniclip. I can't seem to contact them, the system is complicated because there is a miniclip ID and a Rising Cities ID and they ask for a miniclip ID. As it happens I can only find the Rising Cities ID.Am amazed at how complicated things can be!

    I contacted Miniclip support and they have confirmed that the issue is with Miniclip and the developers are working on it. Unfortunately that is all they can say and the only timeline they can give me for a resolution is 'asap'.

  6. Hi Imburglio,
    Just a thought, but if you a) clear cookies/cache etc or try a different browser
    b) then go to risingcities.com
    c) type in your username and click "forgot password"?

    No idea whether this is likely to work or not, but worth a try. I think a) is necessary to remove the redirect to miniclip that must somehow be being forced on it. Not sure how else they'd do it, but that's not what happens to most people that go to risingcities.com.

    EDIT: I've just been told you don't sign in with an email address via miniclip, so this won't work.
