Multi posting

Hi there and let me get some clarification regarding forum rules.

I always thought of multi posting as posting the same thing twice, for example starting the same/similar issue in multiple threads.

Recently I have seen players being corrected when posting two or three posts right after one another in one thread.

Now while I understand there needs to be a protection against obvious abuse of posting several times in a monologue way, on the other hand when responding to two different posts the forum itself naturally creates a new post. If somebody replies to one post, then publishes it, and then later replies to another post, the only way to include the second response in the original post is to go through an awquard procedure of - quote new - copy - close - reopen old - paste in - respond process. No problem for those used to working with computers but certainly not a natural way of doing things.

Also if done with some time span between the first post and second edit post other players may miss the add-on as the system doesn't notify about edited posts, only new posts, which is another reason for not doing it this way.

I hope above is a sufficient description of the issue and illogical procedure required. Based on that I would like to ask why this absolutely natural use of forum is considered a reason for infractions. And maybe even suggest a redefinition of "multiposting" or at least a very lenient approach of moderators in these cases.

Multi-posting - posting multiple times in a row with no other reply in between.
Double posting - posting same thing twice, (duplicate post).

Both situations are against the rule and are reason for infraction.
