Oil industry for game

It is probably to late for the third playing field expansion. Why not develop an Oil Industry for the game. We could have Drilling Rigs on land and at Sea, either at selected sites or at any locations, producing oil or natural gas. An Oil Refinery producing Oil, Diesel, Fertilizer. Oil can be used as multiplier to increase production of industries such as lumber mills and brickyards. Fertilizer can be used to increase production of Farms, Diesel can be used to produce energy in upgraded power plants (see Modernize power systems).

I must admit (even though I did suggest the mountain theme originally to our team) that this also sound really good to me too.

Interesting idea!

There are so many nice ideas in all forums. And the creators of the game instead of trying to use some of them, they come up with their own, and with controversial changes that polarize people and surely don’t help the company to make more money. Honestly, I can’t get that. This is bad-bad marketing!

 

When I proposed this idea I was trying to solve several issues in the game in one solutions. The complaints about generating more power for the game, reducing the number of power plants, freeing up more space for development, developing more industries, giving the seashore and the promised third area more than tourism and housing for revenue, bring our cities into the twenty first century, etc. Also we need something to put in those antique gas pumps we keep winning as rewards.

To the environmentalist sorry to say but the oil industry is here for a good long while. Everything they do is not bad. Just have to be careful and monitored, not rubber stamped. I have yet to see a hybrid or an electric car running around our cities yet.

There have been many awesome ideas on the forums. I do hope that the developers do read them and use them as a source of inspiration. The more people who offer suggestions the better. You never know where a fantastic idea can come from.
