When moving stuff around my City, I discovered that I cannot put the power plants up in the Inventory for buildings. I sure would like this choice, I can put houses, emergency stuff, commercial buildings, and decorations, but no power buildings up there. This is an inconvenience and I am wondering why it is not included. Anybody got a clue?

Your city will be without power. Not sure that is a good idea :).

It is a feature of the game. They do not allow us to move the power plants nor the manufacturing facilities into the inventory. This is a restriction to the game. It could be as Vaskke_su theorizes you would be with out power while the plant is in the inventory. Also you can not move them between playing fields.

I think they just don't want us to move them to another playing field for some reason. I wouldn't be without power, I am way over 2500 of the power I actually need now that I have the dam. I could put a few power plants up there and not have it affect my City. I want to move them to another playing field so my city is not riddled with ugly power plants. I don't understand why it is not allowed to move them to another playing field...

We have never been given an official explanation. It is one of the quirks of the game. If you wish to move the power plant you can do so by demolishing the plant and rebuilding it in the new playing field. It will cost you cc'c and materials. Just remember you can not build power plants on snow or mountain terrain.

There used to be one playfield, so the need was less necessary. Some people try to tell you it would be too easy to abuse, especially for events, as if residences weren't already. Don't worry, we've been requesting this be possible since there was a second field; for factories too. It has to come eventually.

    Right?

    Right.
