Production facilities glitch issue/no reward for Something's Brewing

Howdy PirateLee ... or whichever moderator/leader can help,

I have a few issues related to the Level 3 upgrade finishing of one of my bakeries.


The first 'glitch' I experienced was when I tried to "open" my newly upgraded bakery. *This was for part two of the Something's Brewing challenge. I clicked on the "move in key" icon when it appeared...workers quickly began to report for work, but the "key" remained and I wasn't immediately able to begin production. I clicked the "key" a few times, but it wouldn't show the X'd gears icon to start production. When the X'd gears icon finally showed up, I did not get the pop-up to actually begin production. Again, I clicked it several times in an attempt to begin production. I'm not sure if 'corrected' the glitch when I refreshed my page, went to my marketplace, or logged out then back in. Whichever it was, I have been able to begin production in the Level 3 bakery.

The second related issue is that I have not received the rewards for completing the Something's Brewing challenge. I completed it when I finished upgrading one of my bakeries from a level 2 to level 3 bakery within the past 40-60 minutes. It is now 9:00 AM Eastern, on Saturday, February 1, 2014. The rewards shown for completing this are 5,250 EP and 4,000 PP.
*I tried visiting my marketplace, refreshing the page as well as logging out then back in an attempt to be able to claim my rewards. None of these gave me the green check to collect my rewards.

The final related issue was similar to part of the first in starting production. I *thought* I had clicked all the right things to start production in several of my lumber mills, but the icon did not "disappear". Again, this issue seems to have somehow sorted itself out, and I have been able to begin production there again. I just wanted to make the team aware of the related issues.


So, aside from the production icon glitch somehow correcting itself, the main concern is receiving credit/reward for completing the Something's Brewing challenge.

You were trapped by the description of the task. Simply put, the task description is wrong. Here's one of many threads about this problem, which has been around for a long time with no correction:

Net, you just spent all the resources and time to upgrade a bakery when you should have been upgrading the brewery. It's sad that people have been encountering this problem for months now when all it would take is changing the text in one pop up to fix it.

I thought I remembered something a while back...just didn't look deep enough I guess.
So, if I upgrade the brewery, I should get the reward, right??

This Is the one I remember seeing previously....from last NOVEMBER!

 

Guess I better go earn more CC, harvest, beams, make cement, bricks, wood shingles....whatever to get what I'll need for the upgrade on my brewery. Good thing I've produced enough to be able to upgrade!

 

Yes, the thread I posted was only a little while back, but this problem has been here since they introduced a bunch (40 or so) challenges to the game. The problem has been encountered and discussed over and over and it still hasn't been fixed. There were a bunch of folk hit this in the old forum.

Yes, you should be fine after you upgrade the brewery. However, with this game, I certainly can't guarantee it.

 

They actual did change the text in this quest!
Old was upgrade Farm new and "improved" is upgrade Bakery
Correct as already stated is upgrade Brewery to lvl2.

 

I keep asking the team every week to change this dialog and I will again link your comments to my weekly report.
