SOS for my lumber mills!

I have not been able to access my mainland lumber mills in days now. When I click on any one of them, the screen goes dim, but no window appears for me to do anything with the mill. This is the FIRST time I've been able to access my forum without it telling me that I didn't have the authority to post messages. It's been very aggravating with trying to finish tasks for the event or even building without access to my lumber mills. I've cleaned my cache and taken all of the necessary steps to no avail. HELP!!!!

If all else fails just log in from another computer (clean cache) and click on one of your timber mills and the problem will fix itself instantly.

 

Nope. I've cleaned it every day for the last several days to no avail and I have no other computer with which to log on. By the way, the Dark Orbit site you linked me to is outdated. The last update was 2010. A lot has changed in the last 4 years .... Any more ideas?

If you feel this is a pressing matter I recommend the ingame "?" (help).
Reason: Lee normally check here once a day but the help mails a few times a day, its him there to.
If you do, then tell him about this thread so he don't get double work.

 

This is your cache that is the problem not the game otherwise logging in from another computer would not work and it does 100% of the time no exceptions.
Please either clear your cache fully or use another computer.

 

Update:-

I donated half an hour of my day (it is a slow process to log as another player then clear my own caches and reset my settings which is why we ask you to do it yourself.)
As suggested above this instantly cleared your problem, for the future please contact your computer provider and get them to show you on your system how to clear you cache fully. Every system is different and as you point out those links are a basic guide from some time ago but cannot cover every possibility around the world.

 

Ouch! That hurt! Thanks. I have one computer. Only one. I have cleaned my cache at least once a week since I started playing this game and at least once or twice (even three times) daily since they started doing it. How often do I actually ask for help? Huh? Up until now, I thought you were one of the nicer ones on here, Lee. You sure changed my opinion of you quick! And to think I was going to give you a big thank you for fixing it? Pffft ... forget it. Close the post.

 

Now be nice he went way beyond the call of duty to help you. He could have just said this is your issue and logged off. So a little snit on both sides is warranted. PirateLee is a busy guy and does do a lot for all of us. But, it is frustrating when the cache issue gets the better of the game. We all have those days.

I like you have only one computer and when I get into this situation and can not borrow someones computer to access the game to clear the cache. I go to the library and log in from there, then log out and go home. Works great and is free.

 

Text is a very crude way to communicate and its really easy to misunderstand the others intension.
It can sound one way for someone but be meant to be something else.

 

I do what I can with limited time as I think most of you know, however you cannot please all the people all the time even when you are giving your time for free....such is life.
