St. Paddy's Day Revisited

Let's try throwing this idea out there again, when there's plenty of time for RC/BP to put one together. Last time I mentioned the idea of a special event for St. Paddy's there were a lot of positive comments and ideas tossed around, but it was so close to St. Paddy's RC/BP likely did not have time to respond. So....is such an event in the works for 2015?
I would love to see this happen. They could create a "pub" building as a prize, or at least offer a beer garden or brewery. Drop items could be shamrocks and 'boulder' items could be snakes (everyone ought to know St. Paddy drove out the snakes). Required production could include special green beer, cabbages, snake whacking sticks.
What does everyone think? Can we get the mods to let the Devs know we really would like a St. Paddy's Day event next year? Am eager to see what the players have to say, and any ideas they might have.

 

The correct term would be shillelagh not snake whacking sticks. I would like to have one, I love special events. I will renew my comments from last time a more general themed event would be more likely to be produced. Such as a Spring or Vernal Equinox event but St Patrick's Day event is always going to fall very close to the Easter event. Just playing devils advocate here.

I would like to collect Pots of Gold from the streets, and produce Clover at the farm, and collect Rainbows and Green Hats from houses and an Old Irish Pub as the final reward would be awesome

Make the pub an alternative to a beer garden (give it the same properties) so it could be useful as well as decorative. Let us collect the pots of gold as actual CC's for the game. Come on this is to be a special event make it special. Not just the usual bunch of RI's and Decorations.

 

Aye, count me in also The pub idea is a good one and I agree with billyjim (make it useful): a pub that acts like a beer garden, and maybe also a special residential to put by it....gold as CC's....those three prizes alone would be worth doing the event, no matter what it took production wise to complete. Make it colorful, make it special. BTW...Happy Samhain (Halloween) everybody

Love the idea! In particular, I like the pub idea.. IF it works like a regular beer garden, just a different theme. (or perhaps a bit BETTER than a regular beer garden, maybe more available at each level or something?) I also like the idea of collecting CCs, though not sure that will fly...

Anyway, I would guess it just comes down to priorities. There is a lot of "behind the scenes" stuff happening that takes a lot of time outside our view.

 

True, why I suggested a "skin' over a beer garden to change the appearance. It would only require cosmetic changes not structual programing changes. True does require some work but not as much as starting from scratch.

They have been working behind the scenes the game has been doing so much better than several months ago.

 

Here's another idea: Like the Christmas Tree and Winter Stadium...have a final prize of a "Fairy Mound" that kicks out a random prize every 24 hours. This would be especially nice for players who missed out on the tree and stadium, and have no such treasure trove for their city. Really, I think a St. Paddy's Day event would be great, and easy enough to do. All those in favor, raise yer' green beer, chink mugs, an' say aye

You choose. I am fairly flexible. But, first we have to get RC to do a St. Paddy's day event. There you go powers that be I will buy you guys a drink also.

 

So....how do we know if they are hearing us, and if they intend to do this?

 

We will have to wait till the March calender is posted I guess or they may give us a notice but I doubt it.
