Suggestion for Pirate Lee

    Hello PirateLee,
    Thank you for responding to my earlier thread.
    I have an idea for a solution that will increase satisfaction for the Players.

    When the cinema does not allow viewing of the movies (at the election or by the problem of the external advertisers), have the game restore the cinema ticket to the Player, unexpended.
    After all, the advertiser is choosing not to advertise or fix their problem, but maybe another advertiser will - why should the player suffer because the advertiser has issues? I assume that the advertiser is paying for the right to advertise, but is not paying for advertising that they do not deliver... so why make the players pay (with lost movie tickets) for advertising that is not delivered?

    For your convenience the text of our prior thread is included below:
    1. I have a Google Chrome operating system. Up until a couple of weeks ago, I was able to view the Rising Cities movies to get the 1MM each time. Since a couple of weeks ago, the movie house brings up a window that doesn't have anything going on in it, even if I wait several minutes. There is a "collect reward" button that remains greyed out and inaccessible. There is an "advertisement" link that brings me to the Lego site, but no way to "view a movie" or "collect a reward" and when I go back to the otherwise blank movie house screen, I still can't click the "collect reward" button and I have to close out the window eventually (losing the movie ticket without being able to collect the 1MM.
      If this happened only every once in awhile, I wouldn't mind so much, but it's been going on non-stop for days and days and days.
      I double-checked to make sure that the pop-up blockers were disabled, and sure enough they were.
      Not sure what else to do, except maybe accept the fact that I will get no 1MM for each of 3 movies that I can't view every day for the foreseeable future.

      This feature has nothing to do with us it is external and beyond our control.
      The advertisers may or may not choose to advertise and this system works for some and not others.

      Sorry we cannot assist weith this.​

    I've had exactly the same problem for two weeks now, and I want to expand a bit.

    The window comes up and a background plays that shows Chrome and Lego. The advert is supposed to be provided by ebuzzing.com. As the other player says, one can click on the link and go to lego, but can't complete the task.

    So, Chrome, Lego, and ebuzzing are using the facilities of Bigpoint to advertize. They're using Bigpoint's machines, customers, bandwidth, and goodwill to present their wares.

    All of this without paying a cent and making Bigpoint's customers unhappy.

    As I understand this feature the advertiser pays nothing to Bigpoint at all but they do pay for the credits (MM) given to each player.

    For that reason BP cannot refund what the advertiser has not given if that makes sense.

    Many countries simply do not have advertisements so if you live in Iceland you will not see many.
    In addition internet connections are almost always the problem once you have the movie up and running (again nothing to do with Bigpoint).

    I can see when a movie is not completed and this happens in almost 90% of the problem movies, the advertiser says not finished so no payment, Bigpoint say not our connection its your own connection so not our problem.The player just ignores the Elephant in the room and emails support or posts on the forum.

    If it where up to me this feature would be removed today but it is not my call, all I can do is answer your questions with what I have to work with.

    Pirate, I understand, but one thing: We aren't ignoring the elephant in the room, our only option is to complain on the forum or contact support. As I understand it, both of them are you.

    I'd absolutely love to be able to talk to the elephant, but I don't know his email address.

    Rofl yes you do it is support and that is me....

    By that I did mean the problem is not ours we are only fielding the questions but believe me I am hammering this every single opportunity I get.

    They will get it fixed but it will take some time.
