Unable to load game

    I am unable to load the game. It moves from the initial advert to a black screen and then stops. Can I request a reset? I have deleted the flash player cache, deleted the browser history, changed browsers but with no success since Saturday. Please can you help? Thankyou, I.

    I too facing the same problem since Thursday night. The screen won't open up beyond the login.
     
  3. there is a know problem affecting some players which the devs are working on as announced in OA

    I knew there was a problem but I put through a request to the customer support and they said my account was working perfectly. This was the reply I got yesterday:

    Hello,

    Thank you for writing in and giving us the opportunity to assist you. My name is Lee and I will be helping you.

    I just logged on to your account it is working perfectly for me and that is what our devs see also.
    They cannot fix it if it is working, hope that makes sense. Your own system is blocking you, I used IE and Firefox both worked instantly without an issue.

    What have you changed since you last logged on?.

    This has been an on going problem with the game for months now. For some reason Vodafone (the internet provider for the servers at BP per another thread) is not playing nice with some other internet providers. Therefore some people are having log in issues with the game and others are not. There is little we as players can do but keep trying to get in to the game. We have all tried various solutions to the problem. One of the latest suggestions are you logging in to the game from the Rising Cities web page or through a third party game site. There has been some success using the RC site. So give it a try: http://www.risingcities.com

    I know that and I have been told it but if that is the case why is customer support telling me the opposite? Why did Strider tell me he wouldn't reset me and then he reset Loricsg and then they replied that it was working?

    I have tried using www.risingcities.com and it doesn't work.

  7. Having checked through the posts on this topic I have been unable to find anything remotely like strider saying he would not reset your data. However I did find a pervious post by you on Loricsg thread asking him to do so and up till now there has been no reply. having hijacked someone elses thread and then starting you own on the same topic is not helpful to the mods as it creates unnessesary work for us and after all were volenteers. were now in the weekend when strider or pirateLee come online they will look at your problem

    He reset the account of Loricsg and there was a reply -it worked. Yet he didn't reset it for me. Strider wrote the following: -
    I have reset your account, and checked that I can login from here. However, it might be to do with the current login problems.and then Lori wrote the following -
    Thank you - all is working well now. My internet was down and even that is back up in working. Signs that it's going to be a good weekend!


    I don't think it is unreasonable to be a little bit annoyed that one player got it working and I didn't. [​IMG]Yet we both reported the same problem and made the same request for a reset.
     
  9. I'm sorry I didn't reset your account - I have never told anyone that I won't reset their account - sometimes I do it off my own bat, sometimes I wait for a specific request. I didn't see your request because it was in someone elses thread. I've checked the thread you mention, and Loricsg got reset on Wednesday, and TODAY, at (my) going home time, they respond to say it's working. Excellent. But until then I didn't know that it had worked! I have reset other users with symptoms similar to yours and it hasn't worked. Similarly, you also mention that you have contacted Support, and had a reply from Lee, saying that he had logged into your account and it worked for him. To be clear, I am NOT Lee - Lee is Pirate Lee.

    So I'm sorry I didn't reset your account within minutes of you posting - I'm not online 24 hrs a day. It is reset now, I have also tried logging in as you, and it worked - but that's no guarantee that it will work for you. I do hope it does though - have a good weekend.
